RUSTIC ROCK RIVER CASA DI VACANZA su un acro privato di terra ben curata con un grande focolare con area salotto circondata da alberi di quercia, un grande parco giochi in legno e fortezza per i bambini. Il fiume della casa è tutto finestre per una vista spettacolare. La passeggiata per l'acqua e il molo privato a soli 75 piedi di distanza senza scale. Prendi un 15 min. giro in barca verso il fiume Rock, che sfocia nel lago Koshkonong, un lago di 10.500 acri, e goditi diversi ottimi ristoranti / bar con musica dal vivo lungo la strada. Questa casa può ospitare comodamente più famiglie. * Disponibile in qualsiasi stagione per tutto l'anno: affitto settimanale, settimane parziali, fine settimana e festivi.

Vi è abbondanza di spazio per attività che vanno dalla pallavolo ai fuochi per toccare il calcio. Fantastic Weekend Getaway

Had a phenomenal weekend celebrating my brothers engagement. House was plenty big enough to host 13 of us with a huge backyard and beds for everyone.Airconditioning worked very well too in what have otherwise been a very toasty few days. Would definitely stay here again

Extended Family Christmas gathering

Property was well stocked, good location, great communication with hosts and generous with arrival time, and even decorated a bit for Christmas. We had had a variety of ages and family stages and found the bedroom sleeping arrangements a bit challenging, despite having enough beds. Some bedrooms were located though other rooms and made bathrooms difficult to access in the middle of the night without disturbing others. One of our family members wanted noted that they found several "stink bugs" in their room. All other spaces seemed clean and well cared for with plenty of towels and reasonable checkout list. Would stay again if we had different family situation for sleeping options.

Excellent home - great for large groups

Stayed here for my sister's wedding that was nearby and had a wonderful stay - plenty of baby/toddler gear already in the house for my little one and a great swing set! Owners were great communicators and had an overall great experience!

Amazing cabin on the river!

The cabin is massive, with a beautiful wood burning fireplace and the dining room area faces a beautiful river. This place is so relaxing, clean, beautiful and the hosts are 10/10 all the time!

Memorable College Friends Reunion

The property was as beautiful as the pictures show. Expansive windows to the porch allowed us to see the River all day. Two full size tables gave our group of 13 opportunity to have meal’s together and play games at night. The lawn was ideal for a “bags” tournament. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. An easy sanding launch for a kayak/canoe. Communication with Elyse was top-notch. Very helpful, quick to response and really wanted our experience to be special. We are already planning a return next year. You wouldn’t be disappointed renting this place.

Family trip

Large home with plenty of room for my big family. Unfortunate that the river was so high so we couldn't rent a pontoon. Driveway was super steep so beware if you have a new driver. The host was warm and friendly. It was a hot weekend but all the rooms in the house were nice and cool. Close location to town which was very helpful. Beach area unavailable due to the river but we still fished and caught several catfish. A very nice home and we had a lovely family get together with my eight kids and three grandkids. The pool in the yard was a life saver for the smaller family members in our group.

things to know

We had plenty of space for family members to sleep and great dining space plus great basement games for kids to play. But there are some things you need to know: pictures of property showed a sandy beach but there is no beach area due to a retaining wall expanding the property at the river. The current is too strong to let children play in the river. We rented a pontoon boat from a company recommended by the owners but that company was 1.5 hours away and had no idea that the pontoon boat would not fit under the bridge that was between the boat launch and our rental property so we could not have a pontoon boat for our vacation. Also, no bedroom dressers, no closet in the main bedroom so storage was an issue for our week's stay. Be aware that the second floor bathroom is located between two bedrooms and is not accessible to the other bedrooms on that floor. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and quick to respond to questions.

Be sure to read this before you book your stay!

This house is NOT as described. Pictures need updating as things look more worn and not as pretty in person. CLEANLINESS: listing states the home is professionally cleaned; large toenail was found in kitchen and dirty bedding one beds. We spent hours washing the bedding, vacuuming, cleaning, disinfecting. COMFORT: Beds upstairs sunk in the middle/were uncomfortable, mattress covers thin/torn. One mattress was sitting on the floor. Some pillows had yellow stains. Air conditioner upstairs did not cool making it hard to sleep. SAFETY: Overloaded outlets and an extension cord hanging to connect the microwave to an outlet. Damp basement/possible mold in the shower down there. Baby cribs have worn mattresses. BROKEN ITEMS: Main bathroom had broken toilet seat and leaky faucet. Upstairs toilet ran for an extended period after flushing. Stove/oven did not work. COMMUNICATION: I checked with the host week before arriving to see if the beach was usable due to rain/flooding, the host told me that they do not flood there. The beach was underwater; I would have appreciated an honest answer. OVERALL: Outdoor toys are dirty; life vests should be replaced. Hostas were trimmed, thrown in a pile in landscaping. Not much of an arcade. The host did reply to our list of problems and said some things were fixed after we left, but home should be checked over before each stay. We were refunded a small amount, but it was not acceptable. For the price per night, there are many better options.

Relaxing Getaway

Our entire stay was glorious. The owners were extremely responsive when we had an issue. The pool was set up and ready for us to use. The playground for the kids was perfect. This house made a family reunion possible - we hadn’t all been together in 20ish years :) A few complaints would be: no sharp knives in the kitchen, fly traps are needed(I ordered some from amazon and it solved the problem), the wifi info we are emailed is different than what is posted in the house, very old basic spices etc in the kitchen and the outside patio could use some cleaning out(broken toys, old boxes, a bucket of water). Overall, you want to stay here!

Everything you could want

Our extended family stayed with 8 adults and 3 kids. We found the house to be perfect for what we needed. The kitchen was stocked with just about everything you could think of and the two large dining tables were much appreciated. There were more than enough beds for everyone to find a place they liked. We used the BBQ grill, the pool, playground, canoe, backyard games, you name it! There was bug spray and sunscreen available. The kids enjoyed the selection of board and card games. Overall, this place had so many comforts of home, that we had a pretty happy and peaceful stay!

Family Trip

This property was exactly what you want out of a large family weekend getaway. Plenty of beds across the 6 bedrooms, a large stocked kitchen, 2 massive dining tables so everyone can eat together, and a huge yard to enjoy games of all types. The provided canoe & rowboat were a great complement to some of the PWC our group brought with to enjoy the waterfront. The river was very high for the weekend so the sandy shoreline was unusable but the dock is floating so functional no matter conditions when you come. Close enough to Edgerton for a grocery run or heading over to the lake, but far enough away and the property is so large, you forget there are even neighbors.Nights are quiet and the provided firepit area got used multiple times. 10/10 experience, will rent again if visiting the area in future years.

Great house---for fishing/boating, not river swimming

Had a great stay here with lots of amenities! Pros: 1) fishing (great pier, access to two small boats/canoes) 2) Game room in basement and kids playground 3) Bed options 4) Outdoor pool 5) flexible checkout 6) Super quick host communication Cons: 1) While the listing says 2x about a beach, and sandy beach, there is no beach due to water levels (not the hosts fault, but that makes the listing inaccurate) 2) The river is not for swimming (the hosts clearly do not say swimming in their house description for that reason). The current is too strong and you'll float down, and struggle to get to a nearby pier. Not safe and scary for kids. (You can tube down the river, and a 10-min drive to pick you up, though) So, if you have kids 6 and under, and are fine with the pool in the backyard, it's fantastic. For us though, with more kids between 6-12, being on a river with no swimming available there, that was a bit disappointing and not super easy to ascertain from the house description. Just about setting expectations.

Wow, what an incredible stay! This rental property exceeded our expectations in every way. The house was spacious, clean, and perfectly located. The owners, Elyse and Jim, were extremely accommodating and made us feel right at home. We had an unforgettable fishing experience, reeling in a huge catch just minutes from the house! Wonderful Place to Stay!

The house was very clean and organized, had plenty of outdoor fun & games available, and had enough comfortable beds for a group of 15. The area was nice and quiet, and we enjoyed being right on the river. I would happily stay here again!

Our stay at this VRBO rental was nothing short of magical! With its expansive 7 bedrooms and 3 well-appointed bathrooms, the property comfortably accommodated our extended family, ensuring privacy and comfort for everyone. The open floor plan was a dream come true for our family gatherings, creating a seamless flow between the living, dining, and kitchen areas, and fostering an environment of togetherness and joy. But what truly set this property apart was the breathtaking view. Whether it was sipping morning coffee as the sunrise painted the sky or enjoying an evening meal as the stars came out to play, the panorama was a constant source of awe and wonder... especially the daily dose of ducks. The thoughtfulness in the design meant that, despite our large group, we never felt the need to leave the property. Every amenity and luxury was at our fingertips, making our stay both relaxing and invigorating. This rental is a gem, perfect for extended families looking to create lasting memories in a setting that feels both grand and intimate. We left with our hearts full and plans to return.

This property was great and the owners were even better! Extremely generous, friendly, and communicative. Even offered us a complimentary stay! Would definitely book again to see this house in warmer seasons. Very grateful for the pleasant owners and great house! Dog friendly also :)

Ladies weekend getaway!

The property was perfect for our large group of 14 women. There was plenty of space for all of us to visit together and lots of spaces for small group visiting as well. There were a lot of amenities, games, books, yard games. We had a nice fire one night. We were here in early November but I could see it being an excellent place for large family gatherings in the summer when you could use the boats and beach area more. It was a great place for us to do some great shopping and crafting. We really enjoyed the nearby winery and several really great restaurants,too!
