My stay improved after a few small disappointments. The room was warm and quiet. The meal on the second night was excellent (first night's green curry with poppadoms was less so and lacking in flavour).”

“Room cleanliness was okay — you get what you pay for. My main issue was the amount of noise inside the hotel itself. For the last couple of nights of my stay, there was heavy music and loud conversations continuing into the early hours of the morning, which was completely unacceptable for a hotel environment. “Booked through Expedia, didn’t see an option to book bed and breakfast. On check out we were charged £17 each for breakfast which I thought was excessive for what was on offer. Choice of cold meat and cheese consisted of one slice of ham and one of cheese. Pastries very limited and no croissants, when we asked for some we were told they were all gone. Only one choice of egg in the buffet, fried only.”

“The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean it just lacked air con and with a tiny bedroom window regardless on the heating not being on there was hardly and airflow within the room. Couldnt fault anything else had a lovely stay”

“I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA!
