Awesome location, accommodating staff, and saved my bikepacking trip when my luggage storage location fell through they stepped up and helped store my luggage!

Fantastic accommodation just near the main centre of Edinburgh (OmniCentre, Playhouse, St James Shopping Centre). Plenty of amenities within 5 mins walk amd nice location. Reception staff very friendly and Georgian design hotel was impressive... a bit like the Tardis (bigger on the inside). Room was spacious and had everyone you needed for a stay.

The room was clean, spacious and staff were helpful. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was quiet and there was a small occasional noise from the street but it didn’t bother me. I stayed for 4 nights and the only change I’d recommend is to have a mini fridge so that people can store their water etc. After all the walking I liked that there was a bathtub in the bathroom.

The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. The staff is extremely helpful. The gentleman ( wish i had gotten his name)manning the reception desk when i checked in was so nice and took my suitcases to the room. Top floor in a walk up! Above and beyond! There are so many places to shop and eat within walking distance.

Definitely would stay here again! Check in was quick and easy. They were available for anything we needed. Room was nice and big. Was able to walk everywhere from the hotel!

Unassuming from the outside, but beautifully kept on the inside. Our room was spacious with high ceilings and immaculate. The bathroom was really nice and spacious as well. The path to our room was a bit circuitous because I believe that the hotel was created by joining several old buildings, but I thought that gave the hotel a charming character. We enjoyed the coffee and simple breakfast (fruit, granola bars) in the reception area in the mornings. It was convenient to tons of restaurants and shopping as well as several bus lines to get us throughout the city. Would definitely stay here again.

Nicely decorated room, cozy with a large bathroom which was lovely. Helpful, friendly staff. Could do with a blanket or two for extra warmth instead of putting the heating up in the room and nicer smelling cleaning liquid for cleaning the bathroom but these are small things. The most useful addition would be breakfast. It was a great place to stay in a good location.

Good location for shops,bars,restaurants local transport, good size room with plenty of wardrobe space, clean and tidy. Pleasant staff,helpful also took care of our luggage once we checked out before our return journey

Whilst I liked this hotel, I managed no sleep. The bedroom was so hot and there was a winter weight duvet. No air con/heating control in the room (that I could find). It was a shame as the staff were lovely, the condition of the building was good and handy for the things I wished to do. Also no food available in building.

Lovely hotel, located 10 min away from the city centre on a lovely quiet street. Situated very closely to the National Portrait Gallery on one side and a fantastic small Scandinavian bakery on the other. The staff was very friendly, the room was very big and clean and the beds were comfortable. There were some occasional noise from the room above (floors were squeaky). Excellent value for money.

Everything was great except we were on a lower level and the people in the room above us were walking back and forth at 6 am, and the ceiling kept creaking along with their footsteps, so it woke us up, and we could not sleep from the noise.

Perfect distance to everything we wanted to do. A short walk to the Royal Mile, easy access to the airlink route and lots of restaurants and cafes very close! Very quiet and comfortable room with plenty of space. Staff were lovely also.
