This was a terrible experience from start to finish. The property was not maintained to an acceptable standard. The bed sheets did not appear to be clean when we arrived, the bathroom had a persistent leak from the top and the carpets throughout the property were dirty and clearly in need of a deep clean. Cleanliness is one of the most basic expectations when booking accommodation, and unfortunately this property fell well short. The maintenance issues and overall condition of the apartment significantly impacted our stay. I would not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here.

La chambre était mal ventilée, le frigo ne fonctionnait pas, la toilette faisait un bruit infernal… on a tenté de rejoindre quelques fois la réception, mais il n’y avait jamais personne. C’est proche du centre ville et l’autobus passe sur le coin, il y a un stationnement difficile à manœuvrer, mais il est inclus.

The couple running this place is truly so sweet and kind so it was difficult to make this review, but I thought this place was dirty and a bit of a nightmare for one reason in particular. I booked for 2 nights after staying in really nice BnBs and at a friend's, so I was looking for something a little lower in price and this was not worth it. I thought of booking a hostel but I had a lot of stuff after visiting for a wedding and this seemed like a better fit. The bed was comfortable and the location was good, but I was there during the heat wave and it was hot. The building is outdated and that would have been fine but it was dirty. The doors were loud and slammed so if someone got in the early hours I would wake right up. Which I could handle, I just thought I would note. Worth mentioning, the towels were stained and there was blood on one of the walls (lol). The fridge was a bonus in the room, but that too was dirty. Now to the nightmare. I called my sister to miserate and I half-heartedly said "I wish I had some tissue, there is no tissue in this place." Because I was in the room next to the people running it, I guess they heard me, and when I was gone to the bathroom, they must've unlocked my door and put a roll of toilet paper in there. Now, how am I positive it wasn't there before? I took photos of the place to send to my sister just beforehand and the toilet paper was not in the picture! Needless to say that freaked me out as a female solo traveller.

Good room very helpfull hosts nothing too much trouble, very nice bed good car park with cctv 😀 didn't have a problem Also nice shops within walking distance they give you a code for the door and one for your bedroom door and asked me to write it down 😀 good idea my brain leaks lol

The inn is not walking distance to very much. The room looked ok but was very hot and the beds were lumpy. The tiny shower stall was only big enough to walk in and maybe turn around, the shower head was broken and held up by a hair tie... of course you go to move it and find this out and then try to put it back.🙄 I had seen this was mentioned in other reviews. The water comes out like rain pouring out of a drain pipe, there is no spray, the water just kinda runs down the tubing. We had to ask for a hand towel for the bathroom, we got that the following morning. The parking "lot" entrance is extremely narrow and on a very sharp angle, you can only enter it from the right, that would have been good to know in advance I think the staff are nice people who have too big of a place to maintain... we had paid for 2 nights but decided not to stay there for the second night.. I wish them well but would not recommend this place.

The staff was helpful. There was no body soup to wash the body and need to replace their towels. The towels were old and some had a whole on it. Need to upgrade the bathroom and repaint the wall and the door.

We found the place easily. Parking was fine. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was small but fine for a night. The bed though was made with an old, dainty iron frame. It creaked a lot at the slight movement. Public transportation is nearby. We even walked back from downtown Edinburgh.

The location was very walkable to amenities which was the main selling point. The room we had in the basement was very dated, rather noisy, and looked nothing like the room photos shown. If this is a bed and breakfast the breakfast part was not evident.

The location is conveniently located on the bus route to the city centre but we chose to walk the 2km into town. We didn't have a fridge in our room but the hosts agreed to freeze some water bottles for our cooler bag. We didn't have towels and cups for all of our group but they were provided when requested. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom needs some maintenance attention. Our shower head functioned but the spray unit kept falling off. Overall it was fine for our three night stay.
