Are you looking for the perfect vacation home for you and your family? Sonshine has all you need and more for a memorable and wonderful Edisto Beach vacation. This house is not only large and tastefully decorated; it's well-equipped with all the comforts of home. The kitchen has plenty of space for the chef in your group to cook up a feast, while free WiFi and satellite TVs in every room can keep guests entertained if a brief afternoon shower interrupts your sunny day on the beach.

On this spacious corner lot, you need only cross Palmetto Boulevard to reach the beach. Or, you can relax lazily on the large, screened-in porch to soak in the sweet ocean breeze. The ground-level patio is a great place to chill and grill, and features plenty of covered parking for a boat. If biking or walking are on your agenda, you can pick up the community bike path right from the backyard, taking you on a great trek around the beach and out on the island. If you're seeking fun on a larger scale, Sonshine is the perfect fit!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Cosa c’è nei dintorni?

  • A very early morning outing at Botany Bay on Edisto Island. I had to start from my hotel at 3 AM to make it to this location before dawn. Botany Bay Plantation is a nature preserve and has regulated visitor hours. Gates open 30 minutes before sunrise - I wish they'd open a little sooner as the golden hour is pretty much more than half way done by the time one can make it to the beach. Nevertheless, it's a great location to visit at sunrise, especially if there are high clouds to add drama. Recommended to visit when the tide is ebbing as you then get the shadows of the trees, which to my eyes add more depth to the image. On this day, there was a bank of low clouds that prevented too much color but it was a great sunrise to witness nonetheless. The trees have so much character and add so much to the image. It's hard to look at the remnants of these trees and not imagine the onslaught they've withstood at the hands of mother nature. #WeekendGetAwayForTheFamily #colorful #USA #weekend #treetrove #blue

The Sonshine House brought sunshine to our family time.

We really enjoyed our time at The Sonshine House. It was our first time to stay at a beach house for our family Thanksgiving and we loved the experience. We really appreciated the spacious and well stocked kitchen. The large dining table was great. The living area was very functional and comfortable. We loved the screened in porch and the sunny decks. The kids enjoyed playing table tennis and a very nice beach access was only two blocks away. We appreciated the helpful responses to our questions from the host and the service desk. We would recommend this home to others. We are taking home wonderful and lasting memories of our time at Edisto! Thank you!

The daybed was broken on head board, the grass was not cut, the mosquitoes where very bad could not enjoy being outside and under house where hammock was,other than that its a great place for a large family to stay and enjoy.

Sonshine Fun

Our annual ladies excursion was a blast! The beds were comfortable, Perfect bathroom arrangement. Only issue, tricky oven and stove (luckily one of us decifered)😀 and dinners were successful.

Great house close to the beach

This was a fun space for a large group. Great open floor plan, carport below house had a swing and pingpong table and was great for kids to run around, and a huge upper deck was a wonderful place for communal meals. We loved it!

Family Getaway

Pros: The house was very conveniently located to the beach. Each bedroom having it's own bathroom was a very nice feature of the home. The main room was comfortable and nice for our party of 13 for meals and games. Every day we had a family of deer in our yard which was a big hit with the kids. Cons: Home needs some basic maintenance, screens are torn, wood deck has nails sticking up, toilet needed repair upon our arrival. We did have (3) very large cockroaches in the bedrooms during our stay, none in the kitchen or any other area.

Plenty of room

We had a great time. Property was clean. A lot of room downstairs for parking and games. Kids enjoyed playing ping pong. Plenty of parking for our cars. Very convenient to marina and beach. Lots of room for sitting and eating upstairs. Would highly recommend this property for large groups.

Relaxing Spring Break Week

We had a great week at Sonshine. It was well stocked all throughout, and our group thought the king and twin beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were plenty of books and games to keep us busy on our one rainy day. There were also a few adult bikes down under the house. They have seen better days, but having them was a fun bonus and allowed for a few evening bike rides. My largest concern was the state of some of the deck boards. Our crew is used to worn decking on beach houses, but some of the areas were soft with rot, not dangerously, but I would hope to see those replaced very soon. We would definitely rent again!

Sonshine weekend stay

Military biker group that stayed at the house for a long weekend. Everything just as advertised. No surprises. Check-in super easy. Awesome parking for all bikes under covered drive-in. Nice large common area and fantastic screened front porch

Great rental next to beach on Edisto Island

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! Loved the large living space and table, even better than in the pictures! Despite the somewhat chilly weather, it was great spending time out on the incredible porch with a view of the ocean.

Nice Stay

Great location (towards end of the island), nice layout of the house including the large/open family area. We enjoyed playing games and cards on the large table inside along with sitting out on the screened in porch and sun deck in the afternoons.

Weekend at Sonshine
