Chateau Relaxo was designed with guests in mind. Every detail, from the décor to the well-appointed kitchen, will ease your transition onto island time. Spend your days soaking up the sun and searching for shells on the beach, as this home is just a quick walk or bike ride from the Atlantic shore. Relax with your favorite book or cold beverage on the shady screened porch.

The bright interior is beaming with joyful sunlight, providing a lovely reminder that you are at the beach and to savor the peace of your vacation. Internet access and cable TV will keep each group member entertained should a brief afternoon shower interrupt your beach day. Dine alfresco or simply cool off after a long day in the sun on the ground-level patio. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, look no further!

THINGS TO KNOW
Wyndham amenities are available for purchase at the Wyndham Cafe, but there is no guarantee due to limited passes per day. These amenities include access to three pools, tennis courts, gym fitness room, mini golf, playground and beach cabana.
This vacation rental is located in Wyndham Ocean Ridge Resort. No boats, trailers, motorcycles, mopeds, campers, RVs, or golf carts are allowed inside the resort.
All guests shall abide by The Good Neighbor Policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

  • A very early morning outing at Botany Bay on Edisto Island. I had to start from my hotel at 3 AM to make it to this location before dawn. Botany Bay Plantation is a nature preserve and has regulated visitor hours. Gates open 30 minutes before sunrise - I wish they'd open a little sooner as the golden hour is pretty much more than half way done by the time one can make it to the beach. Nevertheless, it's a great location to visit at sunrise, especially if there are high clouds to add drama. Recommended to visit when the tide is ebbing as you then get the shadows of the trees, which to my eyes add more depth to the image. On this day, there was a bank of low clouds that prevented too much color but it was a great sunrise to witness nonetheless. The trees have so much character and add so much to the image. It's hard to look at the remnants of these trees and not imagine the onslaught they've withstood at the hands of mother nature. #WeekendGetAwayForTheFamily #colorful #USA #weekend #treetrove #blue

Peace and quiet

Overall we really enjoyed our stay! the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The house had plenty of room and was well equipped (except no dish towels!). The sunsets were lovely and the only issue with the large family of deer was to avoid them while walking the dogs! We were disappointed in not being able to use the nearby gate for comings/goings; instead we had to go all the way out of the community. I would disagree with any reviewer who said it was a short/quick walk to the beach. Since the weather was rainy, it wasn't a big deal to only have 1 day at the beach, but I would have been more frustrated about the proximity.

Clean and comfy meeting place for friends

My friend and I booked so our 2 families stayed and vacationed together. The home was clean and comfy. We put all our girls together in the master because it had the most room. It had a king and twin trundle. The other 3 rooms were very nice but only had full size beds. The kitchen was very well stocked had everything we needed. We cooked all meals in the home. Dishwasher didn't work and was mentioned at check out. There was plenty of room in the kitchen and living area. The neighborhood was pretty and quiett. The walk to the beach was pleasant, yet further than expected based on the descriptionand reviews. After the first day of walking and lugging all our stuff, we wished we'd rented much closer to the beach! We'd recommend bringing or renting bikes. Also it did take awhile to drive back out of the complex to the gate guests were allowed to use. There was a gate close to the home but we weren't allowed to use it. We enjoyed cooking fresh shrimp from the shop across the street from the main gate. We also enjoyed the beach, the serpentarium, and Botany Bay. It was a great vacation and we enjoyed Edisto Beach!

Great place, designed for relaxing

Great property, lots of space, well appointed. Nice location at end of a quiet street. Short walk to beach. We bought the Wyndham amenities pass and enjoyed the pools and the cabana at the beach. Lovely vacay!

Great place for a group!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was cozy and comfortable for 7 adults and 3 children. We enjoyed walking to the beach and to the playground. In addition, the kitchen was well stocked. We made all our meals at the house and it worked out well. We hope to come back soon.

Quiet and relaxing

My family and I loved this rental! We stayed from Christmas until the New Year and had a great time! After hour check-in was super easy. The key pick up was on the way to the rental so it was extremely convenient. Thank you to other reviewers who mentioned Google takes you to the gated entrance and to, instead, follow the map provided!! We arrived without issue and received parking/entry passes at the gate. Have the address of the property ready for the gate attendant. As others also mentioned, you do have to drive back to the front to get in or out. My party did not find that to be a problem. The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes. It did take us a few minutes to figure out how to get there though! So here are my directions, with your back to the house, go left on the street, follow the road curving up and to the left. Turn right at the next intersection (Hutto?), you should see the gated entrance to your right. Walk around the gate and down a few blocks and there you are at beach access 22!! Thae beach was beautiful and quiet. As far as the home goes, it was super clean, extremely well stocked and very comfortable. The gas grill had plenty of propane and we used it a few times. The grill was also very clean. We appreciated the starter supplies, dish and dishwasher soap, laundry pods and toilet paper. I'd rent here again. The area was lush, quiet and full of deer!! It's the perfect home for a relaxing stay on Edisto Island. Thank you!

Great for family

The property was wonderful and due to the side access which is a ramp and shallow steps, excellent for the older family members who cannot climb steps anymore. So nice to be surrounded by so many deer in the mornings and evenings. It gave it the feel of being deeply secluded but then you are just a couple of minutes from the beach. Don't follow GPS though, it won't get you there, use the map from the realty company. We will be alternating our family Thanksgivings between the mountains and the beach. We certainly will book ahead to get this property again. Everything was so convenient.

We enjoyed our stay here, the house was very comfy, spacious, and had a fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed sipping coffee in the morning off the deck, it felt very private. It was a quick walk to the beach! Would stay here again!

Wonderful Retreat

Chateau Relaxo Fantastic-o

This was a very nice stay. The home had everything we needed and more. Comfortable bedding, no maintenance issues. Check in/out was so easy. We arrived on Sunday. The keys was exactly as instructed upon arrival and departure was simple. Due to COVID, we picked up and dropped off keys in the Dropbox. I highly recommend the Chateau Relaxo.

Very Nice Home!

We enjoyed our stay here for a long weekend. The home was clean, with a well stocked kitchen! The property is located in the Wyndham resort area which you need to use the main gate when entering or leaving the property.

Nice and peaceful location with convenient access to the bike path and beaches.

The property was great and very spacious. 4 bedrooms was great. Food options on the island were limited based on the timing that we went (end of March), but there was still variety if you didn't want to cook at home. Glad we brought our bikes -- made it easy to check out the island.
