“Great motel - just outside North Sydney. It's very quiet. Convenient if you are taking the ferry to Newfoundland (or coming back to Nova Scotia on the ferry). Clean and comfortable.”

“This location is perfect for anyone taking the ferry to or from Newfoundland. Nothing fancy or spectacular. Overall just average. Takes hot water awhile to arrive.”

“Staff was amazingly helpful! Our first assigned room was not done being made, they transferred us to a different one. The bathroom lightbulb was out.. but again even in late at night, the gentleman at the reception helped and got the bulb changed! Breakfast was really good! The ladies in charge there were lovely hosts!”

“The room was clean but dated. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was good with excellent service.”

“Overall the stay was pleasant. The staff at front desk and restaurant were excellent. The property is going through a renovation so hard to truly judge cleanliness but there was a lot of stuff hanging about and elevators were untidy. The fridge in room didn't work and hot water takes a while to get going. Parking was okay but lower lot made me nervous. But the stay met my needs and the room was comfortable with a great view.”

“Had to pay almost $50 more to check in early and they only had a few rooms booked. Missed breakfast as I didn't realize it closed at 9:30 .The bed slipped away as you sat on it. the floor under the bed was plywood.unfinished.”

“No shoes allowed from the front door throughout the hotel. So take some slippers!! The owner makes you feel like you are invading here space and makes you feel like her time is more important than the customers time. There are lots of rules and $100 potential fine if you make a sound or wear your shoes. The owner can be quite sarcastic . Lastly She was upset by the amount paid. I booked online so they set the price not me.”

“Clean room, hot tub was on deck. Super relaxing night. Close walk to main lodge for dinner and breakfast. Sauna was really wuick to heat up and had me sweating bullets. Beautiful views in a great location just off the main Cabot Trail road. Highly recommended. Will return”
