“We stayed one night on June 18th, 2026 and were quite happy with the hotel overall. The two receptionists were very pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious with two queen beds; the bathroom was clean but the shower head was very difficult to adjust and we ended up with water on the floor (we cleaned it up!). The carpet, unfortunately, was not in good shape and had stains and ripples in it. Probably time to replace it. The breakfast was very good with bacon, omelettes, waffle maker, oatmeal...

“The property is lovely, the check in and out was simple, and the one time we ate at the restaurant it was enjoyable. Just had a very pleasant stay in a lovely little town.”

“It is a beautiful property, but there were issues. No hot water , no telephone and the tv didn’t work. Hot water and tv problems were fixed with a phone call, but shouldn’t have been an issue.”

“Alles toll, wenn auch etwas gruselig, weil überall historische Kinderbilder hingen und Kinderwagen, etc. aus dem 19. Jahrhundert aufgestellt wurden sind. Aber es war alles sehr sauber und das Frühstück war hervorragend.”

“Denise and Alan are a wonderful couple who evidently love to host. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we even had cookies and chocolate waiting for us!! Breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our history presentation and live music while we were eating. 10/10 recommend this sweet place. We have stayed at other accommodations in Cape Breton that cost more and they didn’t hold a candle to this place!! We hope to come back some day.”
