“This cabin was really cute and perfect for a couple of nights away. It was actually much nicer in person than it looked in the photos, which was a very pleasant surprise. The location was great. There is a grocery store nearby for anything you might need, and it was easy to walk the dogs. We especially enjoyed the riverside path within walking distance, which made for nice walks and a beautiful view.Overall, a cozy, comfortable stay, and we would happily come back.”

“This was a fantastic place to stay. The hot tub and sauna overlooking the river were both amazing. Very clean and well stocked kitchen. Great place if you’re traveling with a pet”

“Check in and out was really easy. A beautiful place! The cabin was comfortable and well stocked. Bellevue is my hometown and it is a wonderful place to visit and stay. The cabin is right on the Mississippi River. ”

“Was a very nice cabin. Very quiet and peaceful. ”

“We loved our stay here! The mid-century decor was so fun! There were so many cool little details to discover. Plus, the location was phenomenal! It was so private, and surrounded by trees and wildlife. We even saw a baby deer when we arrived. The hot tub was a great way to end a busy day, or to start one. And the Japanese soaking tub was a pretty neat experience as well. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, but not much space for storing non-refrigerated food that you bring....

“Everything with the house was excellent for our family to enjoy. We appreciated the middle of the night snow removal. The owner called us to tell us the 2” snowfall would be taken care of, a very nice gesture.1”

“The facade of the house belies the fact that it is enormous inside, with commodious bedrooms and baths, a lodge-like living room with a stony fireplace, a big kitchen well stocked with appliances and all necessary dinner, table and glassware. And there's a big deck that can seat a dozen with a large grill. The downstairs is devoted to fun, with pool, pingpong, another viewing room and access to the hot tub and yard with firepit. There is also the "secret" Theater Room, a cozy space with well...

“What a treasure The Shire in Savanna is. Clean, nicely decorsuppled with everything you need, beautiful settting. Brian and Charmaine are great hosts, responsive, clear communication. Can’t wait to go back!”

“It was clean and we had all that we needed. Would suggest cutting down some branches, etc to enhance view of the river.”

“Everything was exactly like it was listed. Thank you again for the quiet relaxing stay!!!”
