“Things were all older and dated, but everything was clean. Bedsheets were so old they were nubby. Bathroom was fine with very soft water. Included breakfast was marginal, with pop tarts and weak coffee. It was interesting having a busy bar in the midst of the building, adding character. It is also a gathering place for both Harley bikers and golfers for the adjacent course; quite a contrast. It's the only place around, so if we go to another concert in Mt.Carroll, we'll probably stay again.”

“Needs updating. The rooms rug was torn, couldn’t use the TV. Couldn’t even watch the morning news. The air conditioner was loud and couldn’t find a switch or way to turn on lights by the nightstand.”

“There was a damp smell in the room that was covered up by some kind of fragrance that was not pleasant. The towels felt like sandpaper on my skin. We only slept there for one night, as we were visiting friends in town, but I would not stay there for more than one night. I would not recommend this, unless you are restricted to staying in the area.”

“Absolute amazing weekend with my husband away from everything to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was amazing, so friendly. The room was beautiful, the view was amazing, the food was to die for at the restaurant downstairs. Could not have asked for a better place to enjoy with my husband. Will definitely be back!!”
