The townhome itself is beautiful and is located perfectly for anything in Elkhart Lake. The design of the unit is well done and does offer many things one might need during a trip.
However, some amenities are missing or need improvement. There is no storage in one bathroom and the other only has a small vanity cabinet. At a minimum, shelves over the toilet need to be added. Even our husbands had practically no room for their minimal amount of toiletries. We had to keep our toiletries and make-up in our luggage. In the bedroom, there is no furniture except for the bed and two very tiny bedside shelves. There are no closets. So there was again no place to put anything. Adding a console or chest would really help.
Jessica, the contact person, is very poor at responding to texts or emails. According to the instructions I received, they stated at least 48 hours before your scheduled arrival date, please reach out to the Guest Contact to obtain the code to the keyless entry. She never responded to my email or text request. We finally received an email on the afternoon of the day before departure. At that point, I inquired as to whether the codes were changed with every guest and curiously the next day our entry code was changed from what was provided in the email. Makes me wonder if the codes are not changed each time and were only changed this time due to my inquiry. Lastly, I sent an email during our stay with a quick question about wifi and she never responded.
The fourth night of our stay we had a clogged toilet and there was no plunger. The unlocked electrical room and unlocked storage room also had no plunger. In a larger town, this would not be a problem as you could go to the store and buy one. But nothing in Elkhart Lake and nearby Plymouth is open…no Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, or grocery store. So we had to go back out the next morning and find one. Since Jessica had never responded to my earlier email, I didn’t even bother trying to contact her.
This townhome is stunning - people stop as they drive by to look at it - but the poor communication and missing storage make what should easily be a 5+ property a 4.
