“Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ely by IHG is the best alternative, in my opinion, to The Prospector Casino right next door. Breakfast is filling and free coffee is available in the lobby 24/7 for the coffee lovers like me. The not so good was that the fridge in my room did not have a freezer, as a result, I had to eat the 3 frozen meals I brought with me all at once, otherwise they would have gone bad; the ice machine on my floor was not working, and the staff could be a tad friendlier. ...

“I really enjoyed this hotel and would absolutely return. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were such a plus for my son- our room was just steps away. We also enjoyed the discounted breakfast at the restaurant. The front desk staff was super personable and friendly even though there was a little snafu with our checkin. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room - even with free bottled water and cookies! Highly recommend for those passing through Ely!”

“TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!!!!! This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The hotel is super old, the bed and pillows are terrible, sheets stained , I didn’t even take a shower because the bathtub was stained and it grossed me out. The carpet is dirty and torn, There’s no microwave or refrigerator in the rooms (#114). By 7 PM there’s no one at the front desk anymore you need to call them and of course NO ANSWER!!
