Motel a Emporia

“The room was clean and updated. However, everything else was not good. The breakfast was limited and not fresh. The outdoor pool was filthy with garbage floating on top. The facility has many migrant workers living there who drink cases of beer every night and leave trash everywhere. They have portable grills outside their doors cooking and sat out all night drinking. Also the door to the room was not insulated so light filtered thru it and our friend had people sitting outside his room...

“The room, though small, was clean, the bed comfortable. The staff members were polite. There was plenty of parking. The food options were a few minutes drive away. My only problem was the "hot" water for the shower. I was on the 4th floor; it took several minutes for the water to go from cold to warm. It never got close to hot.”

“For a quick overnight stay, this place will do ok. But, I would caution any female traveling alone to stay elsewhere. It is a bit sketchy at night. I do have to say that the staff was very nice and helpful.”

“I stopped for the night on a road trip. I was checked in quickly & the room was sparkling clean. I was bringing the contents of a relative's refrigerator, so I was thrilled to see the larger, apartment-size fridge, not a mini fridge. Everything in the room was very dated, but I didn't care. The mini fridge & microwave worked, and the bed was super comfortable! The staff was just one woman who may have been the owner. She was super nice & helpful.”

“Check in was slow, there were lots of people hanging around outside smoking weed, the room door didn’t close completely so you had to lock it just to keep it closed and the bathroom had used towels and wash clothes hanging in the bathroom.”
