The staff showed a real pride in working at the Castle and truly helped to set the atmosphere. Check-in and out were brilliant. “There were some lovely touches about the general accommodation such as pretty chandeliers, nice artwork and grand mirrors. We were in room 6 which was advertised as lacking natural light, this was fine, but the decor was so dark and such a dull lightbulb, it made the room feel so dingy. There was no plug point near the mirror, so doing hair was difficult. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely big fan in the room to help combat the heat.
