The Old Post Office Cottage

L'originale Post Office Cottage è stato magnificamente restaurato e ampliato per accentuare il carattere storico dell'edificio. Rimangono molte caratteristiche originali, che vanno di pari passo con i lussi moderni.
Il cottage dispone di una moderna cucina completamente attrezzata con sala da pranzo e salotto a pianta aperta. C'è un "accogliente" separato con comode sedie a sdraio e un camino a gas aperto, il luogo perfetto per condividere un buon rosso Mudgee.
Il cottage comprende tre camere da letto. La master suite dispone di un ampio letto king size, bagno privato e spogliatoio. Due ampie camere matrimoniali condividono un ampio bagno con pediluvio con artigli e lavandino separato a doppia vasca.
Tutte le camere hanno accesso a un'ampia veranda avvolgente, perfetta per cenare all'aperto o ammirare la vista circostante. Il cottage dispone anche di aria condizionata a ciclo inverso completamente canalizzato, lavanderia e ampio parcheggio.
Il cottage offre alloggi spaziosi per un massimo di tre coppie che viaggiano insieme,. È il luogo perfetto per un matrimonio boutique intimo.


Storia dell'ufficio postale di Eurunderee

Il primo ufficio postale Eurunderee fu istituito negli anni 1870. Si trovava tre chilometri a nord del vecchio casolare postale nella casa del padre di Henry Lawson, il primo direttore delle poste. Le rovine della casa sono ancora visitabili oggi.

L'ufficio postale si è trasferito nella sede attuale negli anni '20, dove ha funzionato fino al 1961. Il cottage comprendeva anche il centralino telefonico Eurunderee, a servizio della comunità locale.
A testimonianza della sua ricca storia, gli attuali proprietari hanno conservato il vecchio ufficio postale situato nella parte anteriore della Old Post Office Cottage.

La famiglia Roth si trasferì nella regione del Mudgee all'inizio del 1800, formando una parte significativa della storia antica di Mudgee. Adam Roth fondò la Craigmoor Vineyard nel 1858 (ora Oatley Vineyard and Restaurant).

The Post Office Cottage è stato costruito per la famiglia Roth da George Muller. Edna Riddle, nipote di Adam Roth, visse nel cottage fino al 1999. Sua madre era stata l'amministratore postale durante il periodo in cui l'ufficio postale era in funzione.

La casa è stata completamente rinnovata e ampliata nel 2013.

Fabulous cottage with character in the vineyards

My first time to Mudgee and I’m so glad we didn’t stay in town. This cottage is right in the vineyards, a real escape to the countryside. Anita was so helpful and the house is cosy with all amenities catered for. Loved our stay!

Great Location, lovely property.

The Old Post Office was perfect for our stay. Lovely accommodation with everything you would need for a break. Vines in the back garden, and importantly, very close to all the wineries. Worth noting very easy to find with easy parking. Will stay again for sure.

Everything you could possibly want!

Stayed at the Old Post Office as one of our kids was involved in a big sporting carnival. This beautiful cottage had everything we needed. Beautiful kitchen, big bathrooms, a washing machine and was warm!! Thank you, we hope to be back sometime!

A Brilliant Stay

This is a wonderful property. The location is fabulous, just outside Mudgee with views across the vineyards. The house is a truly comfortable, well appointed home with a great kitchen and outdoor spaces. Our host was responsive to communications and we really appreciated the extra touches like the welcome wine, milk etc. Would absolutely recommend.

we stayed for a wedding at a nearby vineyard - the house is lovely, would be perfect for a family or a couples weekend away or a ladies weekend away - beautiful kitchen, really well stocked. great location- close to Mudgee town and local vineyards. very friendly owner, great communication. would definitely stay there again.

Great Weekend

Lovely quite position but only minutes to town. Wine vines all around the property, a beautiful outlook. Cottage itself was lovely old charm, very clean and very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Amazing Mudgee stay

Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean & quality linen. The gardens were lovely & the wooden bar overlooking the garden was just the place to sit, relax & enjoy a glass of wine after a big day at the wineries. The inclusions in the property were all first class & the additional extras were very welcome.

Fantastic Weekend

Wow - what a fantastic place to stay for a weekend in Mudgee. Our family enjoyed two wonderful nights which couldn't have been better for us to all be together in a family friendly environment. There were three beautifully renovated and restored bedrooms to its former glory which felt that we had stepped back in time, but with all the modern cons. It was so clean with modern appliances throughout, warm heating, gas fire, all the home comforts you could wish for. The kitchen was generously stocked, and we had a welcome surprise with eggs, bacon, milk, break and wine we found in the fridge on our arrival. The position is just out town, which was perfect for us for peace and quiet and situated right next to a vineyard. The property manager was regularly in touch to see how we settled in - it was such a seamless process. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and for making our stay so memorable.

We had a great stay, it was a lovely oasis from the heat and chaos. My only comment would be as a wishlist; the addition of a fence (to keep the dog off the road) and a pool to combat the heat! We will come again.

Mudgee perfection

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay here! The perfect combination of modern and old country touches, and fantastic location with a close drive to Mudgee township, and within walking distance to some awesome resturants and cellardoors. I would be very happy to stay here again.

Feels like home 💛

An amazingly beautiful home with more than one would need to be comfortable. Beds are very comfortable with fabulous linens; kitchen has every utensil you would need; wifi; Netflix; aircon; Nespresso machine and the list goes on. We loved it. AND wine and lots of beautiful produce left in the fridge upon our arrival. Thank for having us in your home for a few days ... we will be back 🥂

Magical Mudgee Getaway

The cottage exceeded our expectations - sparkling clean, fridge stocked with food on arrival, beautifully decorated, spacious modern appliances, condiments galore and all the extra touches in the bathroom.
