“Great stay with our dog while visiting family nearby. Safe and beautiful neighborhood convenient to Evanston, Skokie, Chicago and surrounding areas. The apartment was clean and comfortable for our needs. Note that it is a basement apartment in a shared building, so you may hear others coming and going at any hour. We would stay here again in the future.”

“The apartment was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We slept great. We didn’t spend much time at the apartment but for our trip it was exactly what we needed. ”

“Area was quiet and homey. We stayed in both nights we stayed, however there were plenty of things to eat nearby. The coffee shop around the corner was nice. We had a fabulous time. We would stay at this property again.”

“Phenomenal hotel!! From the moment I walked in my room, I knew that this would be preferred choice for my next Chicago area visit. Great staff, especially the restaurant staff!! Beautiful property. Close to everything, including train!! Only cons: If you book through a 3rd party app (Expedia), let them know immediately or wake up to daily charges. Also, the $50 early check in fee... if my room is already ready, I don't understand the fee. Other than that, you'll have no regrets with The GEM of...
