Vuoi davvero allontanarti da tutto? Questa piccola comunità sulla baia è come tornare indietro nel tempo. Goditi una giornata a ritmo lento con una splendida vista sulla baia di Chesapeake. Inizia la giornata con una tazza di caffè o tè sul ponte, guardando la baia, potresti vedere i crabber nelle loro barche o un'aquila che vola sopra di te o ti guarda da un albero. Non è facile allontanarsi dalla serenità del ponte, forse potresti dare un'occhiata a uno dei libri che hai portato da casa o praticare Yoga o meditare sulla calma. Forse dopo colazione potresti voler fare una passeggiata sulla spiaggia o il ferro di cavallo (una strada nelle vicinanze che ha case private e terreni agricoli. Puoi sempre prendere il kayak o fare una zattera in spiaggia. Potresti essere l'unica persona sulla spiaggia quel giorno o in acqua.
Se è il tuo primo giorno potrebbe essere necessario andare al negozio per alimenti freschi. Non avrai bisogno di graffette perché sono già nel frigorifero e negli armadi. Spezie, farina, zucchero, caffè, tè, senape, ketchup, maionese, crema, gusto e uova per la prima colazione sono a portata di mano. Non dovrai portare lenzuola, asciugamani o teli mare. C'è una lavatrice e asciugatrice nel garage nel caso in cui sia necessario lavare i vestiti. Troverai un frigorifero nel garage per mantenere fredde le tue bevande. C'è anche un comò privato nel garage. Fantastico fuori
doccia privata, bagno interno con vasca idromassaggio. La sera sono 2 TV via cavo con 100 di canali. Ottimi ristoranti in varie città non lontano. Cape Charles merita il viaggio, città molto pittoresca sull'acqua. Troverete menu da vari luoghi oltre a Ocean City, Chincoteague e Virginia Beach non troppo lontani per una gita di un giorno. Puoi sempre andare a Onnancock e prendere la barca per l'isola di Tangeri per il giorno e tornare davvero indietro nel tempo (insediamento inglese originale). Ci sono anche campi da golf e battute di pesca nelle vicinanze.
Se ti piace cucinare dentro o fuori troverai tutto ciò di cui hai bisogno, anche i libri di cucina.
Getta alcune cose in una valigia, non avrai bisogno di molto nel mio piccolo paradiso sulla baia

Wonderful Relaxing Waterfront Property!

We had such a wonderful and relaxing week here! We loved the private waterfront deck - from our morning coffee to evening sunsets (which were stunning!) we spent most of our time there. The cottage was inviting and clean with nice beach decor and a very well-equipped kitchen and the cottage had just about anything you could need. Donna was a very responsive and accommodating host who met us and showed us around. She’s great! The only negatives we would have - and this is only because we are a couple in our late 60s - is that we found the deep tub in the bathroom very difficult to use and the only shower is the outdoor shower. It’s ok but it would be nice to have a regular indoor shower. We were a little disappointed that the community beach is really small and the tides make it disappear quickly. We preferred going to the beach in Cape Charles. But the quiet location of this property, the host, and the waterfront deck more than make up for anything! We loved it and hope to go back again!

Best time ever!!

We had a wonderful time at this property. It is a very quiet little town which we loved! Donna was the best host and was there on arrival to go over everything with us. She already had some food and drinks there for our first night/morning. She had all the extras and much more. We went out and explored the Eastern Shore daily. Many beautiful places to see. We didn’t want to come home and definitely would love to return someday! No complaints!

Perfect waterfront cottage

This is a charming, nautical-themed cottage. It was clean and indeed stocked as described (even more stocked than described!)! Donna was fantastic, very nice and always responded quickly to any questions (all of which were before our arrival.). The deck furniture was comfortable and we enjoyed hours lounging on both decks! I can’t wait to return

Gem at Chesapeake Bay

What a beautiful cottage/home located off the beaten path on the Eastern Shore. From arrival being greeted as if we were friends of the family, Donna and her son met us in person, showed us around (very helpful) and gave us helpful hints about the area. Great human connection! Well appointed kitchen, comfortable surroundings the BEST outdoor shower I am missing every day! We had a magical time, made friends with nieghbors and enjoyed breathtaking sunsets and daily swims. Highly recommend although not too loudly, the charm of the area is that not many people know about it. Thanks again Donna! We'll be back.

Relaxing 9 days

We had a great time fishing. The weather was great. Beds were comfortable. Extra bathroom was great and the outside shower was wonderful. The internet and phone service was spotty bur we were there to relax. Donna was a great host.

Fantastic beach getaway

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely beach house. There was easy access to swimming in the bay and lots of beach toys to enjoy. We were also able to fish from the dock. Close to a lovely local winery, beach hiking at Savage Neck state park and Kiptopeke as well as a Virginia Beach day trip about 90 minutes away. My family had a lovely sat and Donna is very welcoming g a a great communicator.

What a gorgeous ocean view!

First Donna(property manager) is so kind & polite person. She was greeting us when we arrived at this beautiful house. She showed to us around the house and explained. It was plenty of space for 2 adult & 2 kids. It has a beautiful ocean front view deck and private sandy beach.

Quiet and Peaceful

Met the owner at the house very pleasant and informative. The house was just enough for the 3 of us and very quiet just what we were looking for. The weather was pleasant and enjoyed the fishing off the dock. We look forward to returning.

Excellent place to stay right on the Chesapeake Bay.

Excellent place to stay. Porch and deck provide great view of the Chesapeake Bay. There are plenty of amenities so there is no need to bring dishes, pots, pans, towels etc. There is even a washer and dryer. Lots of water toys in the garage including fishing rods, kayaks, floats etc. Hosts were excellent, we saw them when we arrived they showed us around. Donna is always available by text or phone.

Beautiful Location

Convenient and quiet location. Beautiful sunsets and lighting storms on the bay. We enjoyed swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Took day trips to Cape Charles and went on there free public beach. We also went to Chincoteague on a boat ride on Daisy Cruises and saw dolphins and wild horses. Overall a relaxing vacation.

Cute little place on the water. Amazing sunset views. Central to everything on the Eastern Shore. We would highly recommend staying here. When the owner discovered our flight was pushed out and we would be arriving after 7pm. She had a fabulous chicken dinner with sides and a bottle of wine waiting for us. She went way above and beyond.

Silver Beach is such a special place! We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast on the porch overlooking the bay, swimming/boating all day, and the sunsets can't be beat! We greatly appreciated the easy communication and warm welcome. We can't wait to return next year. Thanks!

Adorable Beach Front Cottage

I loved the beachy atmosphere with lots of separate spaces for tv watching, games, reading, etc. My favorite place was the back deck, dock, private beach when the tide was out and the outdoor shower. Wifi worked great!! The owner left me with food for the first day and breakfast the next day which was wonderful, adding a personal touch you don't often get. Oh and did I mention the water toys, beach chairs and all sorts of things for kids big & small

Silver Beach Paradise

This was the perfect place for us to stay and enjoy the 4th of July at Silver Beach! Donna met us to check in and had so many thoughtful and helpful extras for us- food, drinks, toys for the kids, etc. She really went above and beyond to help make us feel right at home! The deck right on the water is heavenly and the perfect place to enjoy your cup of coffee or cocktail. The cottage had everything we needed for a delightful stay. We enjoyed it so much that we already booked our return for next year!

We had a great experience. This cabin is like a time capsule, it’s got everything you could have asked for 20 years ago. The kitchen is fully equipped with all sorts of cookware and tableware. The owner provides towels, bedding, and there’s a washer and dryer (in the garage). The garage is also full of all sorts of toys, bikes, kayaks, beach balls, floaties, anything you can think off. There are tons of board games and books, two cable tvs and a DVD player with a fair selection of oldies-but-goodies. Beware though that the area has very limited cellphone signal (we had to drive out 7 miles to make a phone call and the locals say that’s how it is). There’s also no WiFi so all you can use your phones for is pretty much taking pictures of gorgeous sunsets over the ocean, good food you make while sipping wine and actually talking to your kids, playing board games, kayaking, and swimming in the little private beach area. There is a small shopping plaza about 13 miles away, which is where the grocery store is and it’s pretty well stocked (except alcohol, which you have to buy separately). There are also several local farmers stands, and fisher stands that sell today’s catch. Pretty much everything ends up being a 20-30 min drive on scenic country roads, but time moves slowly so it really isn’t a bother. Don’t speed more than 5 miles over in the area, cops come out of nowhere. Overall, this is a very unique experience that you will absolutely love if you are willing to give up some of the modern luxuries in exchange for quaint off-the-grid ocean-front living.

Very nice cottage with a beautiful location.

We had a wonderful stay here. Donna met us there and helped out on the phone the entire stay. There was extra food for us and fishing and beach supplies. Great visit. Rich and Deb.
