We have stayed at a lot of VRBOs, but this was by far the BEST VRBO we have stayed at. We had the best week with family because the house had everything we needed/wanted. The views from the porch are stunning! We especially enjoyed sitting outside each evening watching the sun set. We all thoroughly enjoyed playing ping pong and kayaking. Paul and my daughter used the boat house to get some work done and they loved having a spectacular view while getting work done. We made Thanksgiving dinner here and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. We were all sad to leave, including our dog. But we will be back again soon. Also, Babette was an incredible host- she thought of everything to make sure we enjoyed our stay and was so quick to get back to me when I had questions.

Girls' weekend was a huge success thanks to Babette and the Honey House. We loved all the little touches: fresh flowers, fully stocked coffee bar, and a personalized tour upon arrival. One person in our group was is in a boot due to foot surgery and the lift/elevator was a life saver! Thanks, Babette for pouring your love into this wonderful home!

We had an AMAZING time! The host is wonderful, probably the best we've ever had. She is communicative, helpful, and has so many thoughtful touches all throughout the house. If you love to fish, boat, kayak, play games like ping pong and fooseball, or just relax on the water on a lillypad off the dock and enjoy amazing sunsets, this place is for you. The beds were comfy, couch large and comfy enough for a family, and the space was clean and well appointed. There are so many places inside and outside for people to hang out, grill, watch TV on the swinging bed downstairs, feed the fish and ducks, etc. We'll be back!

Beautiful beautiful property!!! A group of 9 of us stayed for a bachelorette party and we were stunned to see the property was even more beautiful in person! We loved eating breakfast in the screened porch area by the lake, and cooking in the fully stocked kitchen. All of the TVs and utilities worked great. And there was plenty of room for us to talk and spend time with each other without feeling cramped. We even had enough space for us all to do crafts together. Babbie was such a sweet and gracious host you can see her love and passion for the space in every detail from the artwork, to well kept pet areas, and fresh flowers she put out for us for our stay. So thankful to find this magical little spot and I’m already making plans to bring my family in the future!

Best place on fish river.

The home is gorgeous and has such a peaceful vibe. Kitchen was fantastic - great size and with everything we needed. Docks were wonderful. We swam and kayaked each day. The home is on a beautiful stretch of river. The hosts were so sweet to us and we felt right at home. Perfect location to run up to Big Daddies or to shop in historic Fairhope. Easy parking

Great Time on the River

The Honey House was a perfect spot for a get-out-of school weekend with our grandkids! Great Location on the Fish River, perfect for fishing, kayaking, swimming, biking or just relaxing. The property was immaculate, beautifully furnished, thoughtfully equipped, and generously stocked. The owners were terrific and are blessed with a hospitality gene. They did everything in their power to ensure we had everything we needed and had a great time. The boat lift turned out to be a godsend, as we had severe storms and minor flooding while we were there but we we were able to sleep soundly knowing the boat was safely tucked in the boat house well above the water. We plan to return soon!

50th Birthday with Friends on Fish River

This spot is a little slice of Heaven on Fish River! Some friends and I gathered to celebrate our 50th birthdays and we could not have had better accommodations. The home itself is clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need—even a foosball table! The outdoor space is the cherry on top. We lounged in the covered area where there was ample seating to relax and chat. Then we put the lily pad in the water and watched the boats come and go from the launch next door. We were even able to bring our own boat and ride over to Big Daddy’s restaurant in less than 10 minutes. The communication with the host Babbie was FABULOUS. The best I’ve ever had with dozens of online bookings. I would 100% stay at this river paradise again in the future!

Wedding Weekend

We all fully enjoyed our stay. Our son got married at Glory Farms just down the road. Everyone that stopped by to assist with wedding absolutely loved the house. We are already trying to plan another visit. Relaxing with EVERYTHING possible needed onsite.

Perfection!

Our family of 9 needed a space for being out of State for our son's wedding. The Honey House was absolutely perfect! The amenities met needs of kids and adults. Comfortable rooms and beds, equipped for every need, the dock and being so close to the water brought a serene feeling. The outdoor space was amazing. From the ping pong table to kayaks, and the lily pad float for the little kids it was just wonderful. I've never had a host as wonderful as Babette with her personal touches and communication. It also was very easy to find stores and shopping and an easy ride to down town Fairhope. This place was truly perfection!

Best Vrbo Ever!

I have stayed in many rentals over the years, but Babbie’s Honey House takes the cake as the best Vrbo ever! From the amazing dock to comfy beds, giant hang out spots outside as well as in, to the great communication with the host, this stay was amazing! The photos do not do the house justice - it is very large with plenty of common spaces and spots for everyone to sit and enjoy. Next time we’re in Mobile, we will be staying here again. Thank you!

Amazing VRBO Experience

I was so impressed by the wonderful communication of the host, Babette. Miss Babette, went above and beyond answering questions and making suggestions for our first time stay in Fairhope. This made all the difference in the world! It's was so nice to have a host that truly cared about every aspect of our trip and making sure that we were happy and satisfied. We can't wait to book another trip to the Honey House and we will recommend it to all of our friends too! We would give the host 10 stars if possible!!! Beautiful River View Home

My family and I stayed at The Honey House for the Thanksgiving week. We had a fabulous stay. The house is on a beautiful river with beautiful views. The house has EVERYTHING you could possibly need. And the location to the little town of Fairhope was just a short drive. The owner of the home, Babbie was very accommodating and lovely. I would definitely recommend staying at The Honey House to anyone.

This place is perfect for a large group to stay. It’s completely stocked with family entertainment and outdoor entertainment, Bikes Ping Pong water Toys. It’s a definite must revisit for us.

Weekend gataway

The river house was perfect for a weekend away. It had everything we needed. Very clean, cozy, and stocked with all necessities. My husband and son fished most of the weekend. My favorite thing was watching the football games on the screened in deck area with the beautiful sun sets. My son loved the foosball and ping pong tables (and feeding the goldfish). Babbie was the best host ever. We came in late and she met us at the house with the lights on. You can not get any better than that. Will defiantly stay again.

Great place for making memories

On a rare occasion we were able to get all 4 adult sons together with their spouses for a small vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Honey Home. Everything we needed was available to make it the perfect place including a boat lift. My wife has limited mobility and the lift made it so she could have ease of access to the house.

Our best trip ever!

We come down here every year to spend time with family & this year was the best because of this house! We have a lot of family that live in the area & they all came to visit /meet the new member of our family. The house itself is cozy & clean. We ate dinner, played games & watched movies every night & everybody was comfortable & relaxed because there's so much space! During the day we swam & used the big blue mat in the water & it was so fun! There is also a ton of stuff to do & restaurants nearby. Babbie & her husband were awesome hosts. The house has any & everything we could've possibly wanted or needed for our stay. Fully stocked kitchen. Towels, board games, cards, TVs everywhere, a first aid kit & more! Very thoughtful & caring. We will definitely be coming back next year (hopefully sooner!) We created some beautiful memories & special moments here... This house is just perfect! Directly on the water. Beautiful yard. Gorgeous home. Thank y'all for letting us stay!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

We've booked a lot of VRBO's and this is by far the BEST! The hosts were so kind and attentive. We were there for a baseball tournament. My son had a birthday during the tournament, and not only did the hosts get him a gift, they asked if they could do anything for our team birthday get-together. This home is perfect, beautiful, and super clean with an awesome outdoor area. The boys (big and small!) loved swimming and fishing. We are already looking at future dates to book. I would recommend anyone to book this place quickly - you won't regret it! You won't find a better place on the water or hosts! I wish I could give this one 100 stars! (My son even left a shirt and the host is shipping it to me)!

Peaceful Fairhope Vacation

Of all the hosts, Babbie and her husband were the most exceptional and we have had all five star hosts at all previous properties. Not only is the home and grounds absolutely gorgeous, the home was spotless. The neighborhood is so peaceful and perfect. We are a family that loves to be outdoors and the river, the patio, the boat house, and the deck afforded us the opportunity to relax outside and enjoy the peace and serenity of the setting. My boys fished and my girls not only enjoyed sunbathing but also running and biking. There was a lilypad for us to float on and kayaks to take out on the river. If you have a boat, bring it as the launch is just next door and a boat slip for you to use the entire trip. We caught both small and large mouth bass right off the deck and enjoyed a beautiful boat road down Fish River. The property is within minutes of The Grand Hotel where we spent one afternoon. Our family could not have had a better weekend and we have already booked a return stay. Thank you for making this weekend a wonderful experience.
