The Space:

The award-winning ASKIANOS Villas are set on the southern edge of the Asterousia Mountains, the southernmost mountain range in Europe, where the Libyan Sea, the fertile Messara Plain, and the peaks of Mount Psiloritis meet on the horizon.



The complex received the Silver Design Award 2023 at the prestigious A’ Design Award & Competition, in recognition of its architectural approach. Inspired by Cretan-Venetian architecture, ASKIANOS combines natural materials, handcrafted traditional textiles, and contemporary comforts, creating homes that are deeply connected to the landscape and heritage of southern Crete.

At the heart of Villa II is a striking natural rock formation, seamlessly integrated into the design of the home and appearing to rise from the swimming pool itself. The same rock embraces the outdoor shower and the inner courtyard, creating a unique connection between architecture and the surrounding landscape.



Designed to blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living, the villa offers different experiences throughout the day.
