“The towels were not clean, they had hair on them. Nice place for a night or two if you bring your own things!”

“Location is close to main downtown area, although you do have to cross a busy road. 555 North Restaurant is located in the hotel and has good food. Brunswick is a nice enough town; Bath is more interesting and closer to some of key attractions.”

“So disappointed in what they have done to this once beautiful hotel. It had so much personality. Not now. It is now a Comfort Inn and it looks awful. The room was clean but no coffee maker. The worst part is you could not use the hallways in the morning to go to breakfast. You had to go outside to get to the breakfast area. Glad it wasn't winter. The staff were great. It's not their fault. Won't be going there again.”

“Our king bed room had everything we liked and wanted, from the friendly guy at check in to the big bright bedside lamps to the spotless bathroom to the comfortable bed to the substantial breakfast offerings.”

“The inn is an older nostalgic hotel that has unique charm and challenge. It is a surviving relic from a different era, so don’t expect elevators or high tech. The stairs are a challenge for some, as are the low sinks and toilets. It’s a cost effective overnight stay, but that is the best part. Aged charm has its appeal, but if you need comfort and convenience, probably not for you. The breakfast is convenient… just hit or miss on some days. Parking is tough for a large SUV, so be aware.”

“Great location. Staff was very friendly; very concerned for our comfort. The room was exactly as it was pictured and described on their website. Super clean, comfortable couch and chair. The two 65 inch TV's had Excellent colors and sound. Kitchen had everything that you would need. The bathroom and the entire room had the best lighting I have ever seen. The bed was extremely comfortable; sheets were super soft. There is plenty of storage, specially for an extended stay. Could see busy...

“Great old world style property with good food. We have stayed there several times with very favorable results. The room however on this trip was too small to comfortably hold two adults. Very little room between the beds and the walls and not much room to get dressed or store luggage. Just make sure you request a larger room.”

“Storm activity cancelled my flight. The Comfort Inn South Portland team made things effortless and a great value. Shuttle service from and to the airport was convenient - almost no waiting and a 3-minute ride... The staff was professional and courteous - even at 3:30am in the morning.”
