This was like staying at you eccentric, generous, Bohemian uncle’s place - cool art and artifacts EVERYWHERE, snacks and drink offerings available 24 hours/day, and well appointed, clean, and comfortable “guest” room! The night we came in, I was lucky enough to actually meet Chef “Uncle” John Cariere, the proprietor. He was very welcoming and accommodating and invited us to the complimentary breakfast. “This is a historical property that is completely remodeled and beautiful. Our suite had a living area separated by a dressing area from the bedroom and bath. Lovely, well maintained furniture throughout. A small bar was in the lobby. Self serve breakfast was offered. There is a small store on the premises. The staff were helpful and friendly. There are 2 restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend.”

“I hotel was bad. Thet were construction on tye hotel entry. So you to ebter from tye restaurant which made your walk long to your room. Gets to the room the mirror in tye room was cracked. You could barely see out the windowcause tyet have not been clean as long as the building been there. My view was the garage. The iron in the room 5he cord woukdnt say out. The refrigerator didnt get cold and sat on the floor in the room not 8n a cabinet. The water pressure was very low. The staff was nice...

“This was my second stay at this location. For some reason the exterior doors were poorly sealed (2x). Many small bugs flying around room. Had to jam towel in door gaps to try and mitigate.”

The floor had a strong, unpleasant odor, and the overall cleanliness and condition of the property did not meet reasonable expectations. “I was ready to leave. The air conditioner didnt work. Our room stayed around 75 the whole night. I wet rags and put all over me. To top it off... the suite i booked for my family wasnt held. So my kids were down the hall from me. So on top of a hot miserable night i couldn't sleep due to worrying about my minor kids. I will never visit another one of these properties. ”
