“We informed the hotel we'd be arriving early as we were attending a wedding, and they very kindly had the room ready for our arrival. The room was clean and had comfortable twin beds, with a gorgeous view over the village square and Middleham Castle. The welcome we received was warm and friendly. “I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. ”

“A really good location to stop overnight and very happy with the room. Breakfast was delivered in a hamper box outside our room and was rather disappointing. No egg/cold meats option. The main option was oats with fruit. We ordered with banana and strawberry. Tiny amount of strawberry and the banana slices were dried and chewy. But the evening meal was good honest pub grub.”
