“Close to beach and town centre (walking distance). Laundry room had enough washers and dryers that there was no line, the units also worked well. Kitchen was a little chaotic but that could be due to the other patrons, staff made sure that it was clean and guests had access to pots/pans/knives/chopping boards/etc. Our cabin was tiny but cozy, with good layout for two people and two big suitcases.”

“Overall acceptable “motel” but probably not worth the value , it’s close to the lake but certainly not to the front. The “front” of the rooms offer fantastic views and sounds from a trafficking road instead. Rooms are pretty old fashioned and the bed was garnished with a brownie fake ( and dusty) fur. Welcoming was excellent though but certainly not sufficient to compensate.”

“The lodge is located in a very remote location, despite of getting groceries are so inconvenient, Blake showed great generosity and hospitality to all the guests, make us feel like staying in an old friend's house. Kitchen, bathroom, and bed linen are of 5-stars clean. If you're planning to go on the Hump Ridge Track, choose Rarakau Lodge for your pre-departure accommodation is definitely the best option. ”

“La camera in cui abbiamo soggiornato una sola notte era un piccolo monolocale, nella cucina c'era tutto l'occorrente per prepararsi da mangiare. Camera e bagno puliti, parcheggio davanti alla camera, raggiungibile a piedi perchè centrale a Te Anau. Gli unici nei della camera: il letto un po' corto e il bagno un po' piccolo. State molto attenti alla connessione wifi: se non ci si ricorda di fare il logout quando ci si scollega, il wifi risulta comunque attivo e si esaurisce senza effettivo...

“The accommodation was comfortable and the family helping to operate this hotel was very friendly and made a number of helpful recommendations. The hotel was also walking distance from the town center. It had a play area for kids and parking is in front of your room. I was particularly impressed by how clean the place was. Highly recommended if you're staying in Te Anau. ”

Not only did she get us in early, she also had recommendations on what to take to feel better and personally checked on my health the next day.
