“Great location but no real amenities”

“This lodge exceeded our expectations. Briedi & Brad were so welcoming. The lodge itself is beautifully set up on hill overlooking the lake with the beautiful snowcapped mountains in the background-simply amazing. We highly recommend this lodge”

“The outside is looking a little tired but on the outside but inside it was very nice ithought i'd booked for 2 nights which is what i set up in the app but as you go further down the list of available properties it goes from 2 nights to 1 for whats available it's not very obvious until you look into what happened so what you think your paying for is a total of 2 nights is actually 1 so it's a bit of a rookie error on my part but a learning experience ”

“Stayed here for a night before a Doubtful Sound cruise. The location was perfect (right down the street from the RealNZ ferry). The facilities were simple but very comfy. Right along the water with multiple paths around the grounds. Felt like a cool little community with many different travelers. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to this area!”

“Overall acceptable “motel” but probably not worth the value , it’s close to the lake but certainly not to the front. The “front” of the rooms offer fantastic views and sounds from a trafficking road instead. Rooms are pretty old fashioned and the bed was garnished with a brownie fake ( and dusty) fur. Welcoming was excellent though but certainly not sufficient to compensate.”

“Very good and tactical accomodation for reaching Milford sound, the area is overall very good. Personnel was very nice and helpful, bedroom comfortable, albeit a bit cold. Good breakfast and parking”

“Beautiful property! Great location 5 minute walk to town centre, restaurants and shopping. Laura & Derek were very welcoming and serve an EXCELLENT cooked breakfast! There recommendations were perfect for us. Clean well appointed room. Hot tub was a nice touch and the Garden very nice. Highly recommended.”
