Hotel vicino a First Flight Adventure Park - Nags Head

“Our “cottage” was a bit run down but certainly habitable. If it were mine, I’d gut it and do a complete remodel. It needed it. Beds were comfy. Location was good. Less than a minute walk to the beach which was accessible from the property. If you don’t need luxury, then you’ll be fine here, but if you’re looking for a 4 or 5 star, this ain’t it.”

“They did a great job renovating the Tar Heel motel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Bring K-cups with you if you are a big coffee drinker and don’t pack heavy. This is the best of old school Outer Banks, reminds me of when my parents would take us to OBX in the 70’s staying at the Beacon.”

“Blue Heron's staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean. Love that you are only one to enter room when there. If need supplies,simply go to office and get them. Love the no key entry. Receive a code and no worries about loosing the key. Room was updated to make it look nice. Price was very reasonable.Will definitely come back again.”

“Our stay was pleasant although I wondered how often they rotate the beds since the mattress seemed uncomfortable for my husband and I. The lady front desk said they do.”

“So comfortable, quiet, and clean. Bed was super comfy. Easy access, easy parking and a super short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay again!”

“La stanza non era pulita, sedie arrugginite, scarico della doccia non funzionante, alla prima doccia la vasca si è riempita d'acqua e non è stato possibile fare altre docce, purtroppo non abbiamo trovato nessuno a cui chiedere di risolvere il problema.”

“We loved Shutters on the Banks and will stay there again when in the area. The staff was very welcoming and helpful in giving us information about the area. The room was comfortable with beautiful decor. Breakfast was very good and the dining area very well-done and comfortable. The balcony right off our room allowed us to drink our morning coffee while watching the sun-rise. We then took a walk to the beach, then enjoyed the hot-tub and pool. Great location with access to popular sites. ”
