Hotel vicino a Flatford Mill - Colchester

“Amazing! Me and my fiancée Steph came to stay for one night after having done our food tasting at the Talbooth Restaurant for our wedding. Amazing food, staff were really welcoming and friendly. Breakfast to the room in the morning was a nice touch and having the ability to be driven from place to place with their car was very helpful. The spa was lovely and all round we had a great stay and experience. Would stay again and again!!”

“Had a very comfortable 2 night stay. The room was spacious and clean with a great en-suite. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and dinner plentiful and very tasty. Parking was easy on site. Highly recommend.”

“Booked this last minute, hotel itself and room were great. The main gripe I had was how scandalous it is to charge almost £10 for parking per day on top of the room fee- it’s off a busy A road, it’s not in a town centre. Will make sure to read the fine print beforehand, wouldn’t book again on this basis.”

“Delusions of grandeur. A very small room with barely enough room to open a suitcase, slightly shabby decor. So many cushions on the bed that when you removed them they took up most of the available floor space! Bathroom ok but nowhere to put toiletries. Dinner ok, but nothing special. It was all “ok” but disappointing compared to the hype on the website.”

“Excellent place to stay the staff were amazing food was outstanding rooms so clean the only slight disappointment was there was a few weddings a day which restricted us from enjoying the gardens”

“Wonderful clean room with many amenities. Exceptional dinner and breakfast all served by very friendly staff. Hotel is in a beautiful setting with lovely large patio, plenty of outside comfortable seating with marvellous views across the gardens. Second time we have stayed here and will definitely be back again!”

“Self check-in failed to work. Had to wait for a staff member to do everything again in order to print keycard correctly, what a waste of time. Room stifling hot and windows didn’t open. One window pane appeared to be missing from the two layers which should’ve been present - leading to road noise being very evident throughout the night. Bath and sink drains both blocked and then stank of sewerage soon after. Overall, and appalling place to stay.”

“L'hotel è nella media di quelli delle piccole cittadine inglesi. Struttura un po' datata, ma complessivamente accettabile. Il personale alla reception desk era simpatico e il checkin è stato veloce e tranquillo”

“Was put in a room on the 2nd floor, air conditioning was not working & temp was unbearable. They put a mobile unit in the room but far too noisy. Ended up with 2 fans, not very good. No discount was offered for the inconvenience.”

“Hotel in posizione strategica a pochi passi da Colchester, parcheggio dietro la struttura. Mi hanno contattato subito dopo la prenotazione per darmi tutte le informazioni via whatsapp, gentilissimi e attenti. La camera pulita. Potrebbe risultare piccola per chi è alto e robusto, soprattutto se in coppia ma all'interno è presente davvero tutto. ”
