Private Cabin Retreat on 10 Acres!

Welcome to the secluded retreat you`re looking for! While we do have internet / wi-fi, our place is still the retreat from the world you need! On a quiet mountain hillside and down a private dirt road, is your cozy 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin escape. Relax in the hammock, explore the woods and ancient bluestone walls or visit nearby towns. Watch the sun set while lounging at the fire pit, after making dinner in the renovated, upgraded kitchen… it’s all a little slice of heaven.

This retreat has all the modern conveniences you want to make a vacation stress-free (internet, a smart TV and upgraded kitchen and appliances), but still a cozy, clean and tastefully designed cabin in the woods. Please, unplug and reconnect with books, cards and board games for adults and kids, ten acres of woods to explore and relaxation to be had!

Outside.
While the woods or the firepit is likely where you`ll spend most of your time outdoors, there is also an open deck and covered porch for hanging out. Fire up the gas grill, eat at the picnic table, and a selection of vintage and modern chairs so you can relax anywhere you wish.

Inside, 1st floor.
Walk inside to find an open floorplan of combined dining and living rooms with wood floors, and a bluestone fireplace as the centerpiece. Get ready to play cards or games, lounging in this cozy greatroom.

The kitchen has every modern and upgraded convenience— porcelain farmhouse sink, Caesarstone counters, 5-burner gas stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, and yes— a blender for marg`s, if that`s your thing.

The first floor also has Bedroom #1, with plush queen sized bed and dresser. Windows peek out into the peaceful woods off the back of the house.

Next door is the newly remodeled bathroom featuring a heated floor, tub/shower lined with subway tiles, barnwood trim and antique hardware.

Inside, 2nd floor.
Upstairs are Bedrooms #2 and #3. Bedroom #2 has a queen-sized bed, dresser and looking into the wooded front of the house. Bedroom #3 has an antique double-sized bed, and a view of the open yard below, and distant woods.

Privacy awaits! The cabin is quiet, secluded and down a maintained dirt road, so you won`t hear other cars or trucks. Play music, fire up the pit and commence relaxation!

Guests will have the entire home, firepit and property to themselves.

We are available anytime, but also want to respect our guests` privacy and leave you to do your thing. We are available via booking site`s messages, and we have a professional caretaker that lives just minutes away. On call any time, either her cell or through booking`s messages, here for anything you need. Our cleaning service works in the medical industry, so every precaution is taken, to ensure the cleanest, safest stay possible.

Fleischmanns is a small hamlet just east of Woodstock, NY. Centrally located it offers short trips to local towns, fishing hotspots, kayaking on the reservoir, farmers markets, and SO much hiking.

Beautiful drive west along Rt. 28, less than an hour off State Thruway 89. Or about half hour from Woodstock downtown.
Our beautiful, blue-stone indoor fireplace can only be used with a single `dura-flame` style fake log. Actual wood fires cannot be burned in the fireplace, or a $50 cleaning fee will be applied.

Minimum age to rent is 21.
NO Smoking. If we find that there was smoking inside the house a cleaning fee of $300 will be applied. Thank you for understanding our concerns for future guests.
NO parties/events.

We love our dogs! (just ask for pics and we`ll send a dozen, haha). A maximum of ONE dog is allowed, you just need to let us know before arrival and we will apply an additional $50 cleaning fee per stay. Please do NOT allow our furry friends to do any `business` in the yard/grass, not even #1, as it kills the grass. ALL #2`s MUST be cleaned up and disposed of properly in the trash, or an additional cleaning fee will be applied.

Fires / safety. The firepit is the perfect spot for an outdoor fire, s’mores and enjoying the mountains. There is a stack of firewood along the shed, and plenty of kindling you can find anywhere in the woods (please do not chop down trees!). Please use the hose to extinguish any coals before leaving the firepit for anytime, or going to bed.

Reminder that we are in the middle of the woods and sparks can carry— **big fires are unsafe.** Please build reasonable, responsible fires. Any damage or if the fire department is called, any costs will be on the renter.

Fireplace. Inside the house, there is a fireplace but as stated in the description **wood-burning fires are not permitted in the fireplace.** Only one single `fake log` fire is allowed. This is for the safety of guests and the cabin. We have left one duraflame to enjou during your stay, and more logs are available to purchase locally, but only 1 `fake` log to burn at a time, please. If wood logs or sticks are burned in the inside fireplace, there will be a damage & cleaning fee of $100.

To operate the fireplace. Place 1 fake log in the fireplace, pull the black lever on the left hand side to the UP position to open the flue. Forgetting to open the flue could cause smoke to drift inside the cabin.
