"Our family of 5 had a wonderful 4 night stay in the main building (kids ages 10,12,14). It’s a converted very old Villa that has been nicely renovated and the room sizes were generous; it was so charming! We really appreciated the pool after hot afternoons walking in the crowded city and museums. The neighborhood is just outside the Boboli Garden two blocks from the Roman Gate but felt like we were staying miles away from the busy, crowded city streets. All you see and hear around the Villa are trees and the sounds of the birds, with almost no traffic noise at all. The hotel wasn’t crowded, and breakfast had a nice variety and the most delicious fresh croissants! The staff was very attentive and friendly. It’s a 4 star hotel but I’ll give it five stars for charm, location, amenities and service!"

Palazzo Mannaioni Suites

"The accommodations were great! Location is very central, can walk to anything. Probably the best hotel of our vacation in that regard. Word of caution if arriving with a car, this hotel is located "deep" inside a ZTL, or limited transit zone. The hotel/staff make no accommodation for this. We arrived on a weekend and ZTL was open. Hence we were able to unload at the hotel. Check out a very different story, ZTL was "attivo". 70-80 Euro fine if going through ZTL. Hotel passed this off to the parking garage and parking garage washed their hands of us once we paid. So long story, we had to find a place to pull over "illegal park" and one person wait while the other walked luggage to the car. Quite the unplanned ordeal."

Villa Tolomei Hotel & Resort

"We were astounded that so many things were not available at this 5 star Hotel when we arrived to 5 days there, where the temperature (as forecasted) was between 28-34 degrees. 1. No Airconditioning in room or elsewhere (apparently a local restriction to do with pollution??? But I went to another hotel to investigate (The Social Hub hotel) where is was fully air conditioned. No mention on Hotels.com website about it. 2. Not allowed in Pool until 1st June (arguably when checking small print on hotels.com website it does say that) but if I put that as one of my search criteria and the the date I'm going, I expect a pool..., again we're told it's a local restriction but the pool was open at The Social Hub Hotel..??? Other problems were, no food available on Sunday evening, had to get reception order us a delivery Pizza, Spa wasn't open and the bareness of it looked like it hadn't been for a while. We were offered a bottle of Prosecco in apology for no pool and on the designated terrace we had to use to sunbath on the Friday. We then decided to drive to the beach an hour or so away for the next 2 days as the terrace was either full shade early in the day or full fun with no shade later in the day. When we thought we'd give the terrace another go on the Monday all our towels, Prosecco bottle and glasses were still there from the Friday, no one had even cleared them up!!! The manager and staff were apologetic and I blame the OWNERS and Hotels.com for bad info and policies."

"What a wonderful stay! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and in a perfect location. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always making us feel at home. We truly enjoyed our time here and appreciated the great service, comfortable rooms, and amazing atmosphere. Thank you for making our trip even more special!"
