“The room was so gross. It smelled like wet rag the entire time I was there. Pictures on Google and Expedia are deceiving. The carpet was disgusting, the bathroom floors were sticky, the towels were terrible and we ended up not even using the shower because of how disgusting it looked and got a room somewhere else. Due to the conditions of the room I didn’t even try to eat the breakfast that was put out. There was flies and gnats in our room as well, and the couch was dirty and made me itch. I...

“I should have known better when I booked it—a $55-a-night roadside motel. There was mold in the bathroom, broken tile, sticky sheets, stained furniture, and dirty carpet—the list could go on. Breakfast was okay: waffles, bread, coffee, cereal, and peanut butter. Pretty freaking dingy motel, but again, it was about $55. Pros: I did feel safe as a woman.”
