After making the reservation in May for our December stay, I was upset to see a poor review in October and reached out to the host. I was told repairs were made, but the home was a disappointment upon arrival. Out of 4 driveway entrance lights, only 1 works and it’s broken leaning to its side. The landscaping is unkept with weeds and dead palm fronds. Patio furniture is dirty and not safe to sit on. The interior of the home was not clean. The refrigerator had residue on the doors and its interior. The oven was not cleaned with a mound of burnt food at the bottom. Splash marks were on the ceiling over damaged kitchen stools. The primary bathroom sink leaks at the base. The guest bathroom toilet leaks at the base, the toilet seat is missing a fastener so it’s loose and the window blinds are damaged. The pink guest bathroom toilet seat is also missing a fastener so it’s loose. There were multiple roaches in the kitchen and in the primary bedroom walk-in closet. Ants were crawling at the kitchen window and behind the stove. There were many light switches throughout the home that should have been labeled. The dining room light fixture never worked and one kitchen light fixture had multiple lights with only one bulb working. Doors and walls are damaged and full of marks and finger prints that were easily cleaned when I used cleaner. We were embarrassed to welcome family to such a poorly maintained home. VRBO needs to look into the maintenance of this property and residence.
