Things aren’t what they seem.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures. This place is a well-disguised dump in a seedy part of town. Plus the wi-fi didn’t work.

Double booked

Our reservation was double booked and there is a family staying in the house I rented. I didn't get to stay but was still charged. Owner hasn't replied to messages in a week and VRBO hasn't answered emails either.

We ended up not staying and requested a refund. We arrived to find the home on the outside in disarray with a broken down car to the left of the home with rubbish also all over. The driveway had what I would call a fire pit in the middle of it and the fencing was missing from the fence (we found it in the windows.We were unable to access the inside of the property as the code was incorrect. We ended up booking elsewhere and getting a refund.

This is the front of the home. The pile of rocks looks like a fire pit in the middle of the “driveway” to the right you can see the broken down car with rubbish all around it. Opposite the home on the other side of the road is highly industrial.

Across the front you can see a cat in the rubbish. this looks to also be the front lawn. Unfortunately there is no specifically defined driveway or safe space for parking. We did not feel safe.

This is to the left of the home. Fencing is missing. We felt unsafe.

This is to the right of the home. There is a broken down car parked in the property full of rubbish along with rubbish on the grounds. Cats were also getting into the rubbish.

Not the best stay

We had a broken toilet seat & internet that wasn’t working. We had to purchase shower curtain & handsoap . Basic items that are normally provided. It wasnt the cleanest but it was the last option available for the holiday.

I booked my stay for June the 07, 2025 when I got to the home is was under complete renovations the person working on the home stated he was unaware the home was being rented for the weekend. I tried getting a hold of the manager multiple times and was unsuccessful. The communication is very poor. I still don’t understand why have a home up on the website if it’s under complete renovations and unavailable for customers. My whole weekend was a completely mess as this huge inconvenience put us behind schedule.

Unfortunate experience

The owner of this property messaged me and said the power line was hit by a tree two hours before I was supposed to check in, so unfortunately we didn’t stay here. I was very understanding about this, but the owner never canceled the reservation so I did not receive a refund. I reached out to the owner multiple times and called Vrbo support who also reached out. The owner never responded. I had to keep contacting Vrbo support until someone finally canceled it for me without the owners permission and refunded my trip. It took a week to get any answers. I’m sorry to anyone who has also had to deal with this.
