    L'Austin Street Retreat è un'autentica dimora storica costruita dai coloni europei oltre un secolo fa. Restaurato e impreziosito attraverso i decenni con comfort moderni, ora esistono cinque suite uniche. Situato a un isolato da Main Street nel distretto storico nazionale di Fredericksburg, questo hotel di prima classe è un autentico tesoro texano fatto di pietra, legno e stucco. È situato su un grande lotto doppio ombreggiato da vecchi pecan alberi di crescita e perenni dal Ranch LBJ. Ogni suite presenta un arredamento elegante e affascinante e una terrazza privata.

    La parola spagnola el jefe (il capo) è una bella descrizione di questa suite. Una suite da due piani indipendente, è entrata attraverso un cancello marocchino nella terrazza privata con fontana. Al piano inferiore è una camera da letto / salotto combinato, angolo cottura e camera a polvere con camino a legna. Al piano superiore è un bagno "palazzo" con vasca idromassaggio per 2, tavolo da salotto e balcone che si affaccia sul Retreat.

It was okay

If was okay. I would not stay again. The mattress was not comfortable at all the pillows was flat. I looked at the pictures and missed that there was not a shower. There were stains in the carpet which automatically makes me feel like the place was not super clean. The TV was super small. Theses are obviously all my opinions of the place and not comfortable for a vacation for me

This was an amazing stay! The courtyard was perfect for coffee and reading. Close to Main and still super private. We will return!

FOR THE MOST PART IT WAS PERFECT. COULD USE A MORE COMFORTABLE SEATING OPTION FOR WATCHING TV INSTEAD OF JUST THE BED OR THE UPRIGHT CHAIRS. VERY NICE AND ANTIQUE CABIN. LOVE THE JET TUB!! FRONT DOOR ALSO NEEDS ATTENTION BEFORE IT COMES APART. 10/10 WOULD STAY AGAIN.

Back on Memory Lane: An Anniversary to Remember

Twenty-five years ago, my wife and I got married in San Antonio, Texas. Three months later, I deployed to the Middle East. When I returned in 2002, my wife planned a getaway for us at "El Jefe" in Fredericksburg. We were young, and the layout of this small property accommodated our needs perfectly to help us reconnect. For our 25th wedding anniversary, I surprised my wife by booking "El Jefe" again. Three kids and 25 years later, the casita was just as amazing and still perfectly suited for a romantic getaway. The property's thoughtful design met our needs at every turn: The Front Atrium: Provides excellent privacy, creating a quiet, secluded space where we could just sit and laugh together. The Bottom Floor: Exceptionally functional. Having a refrigerator and microwave allowed us to stock up on snacks from the local H-E-B, snuggle up, and completely unwind in total comfort. The Top Floor: Features a beautiful bath and a wonderful, spacious setup for my wife to get ready for our evenings out exploring the city. Walking down memory lane here was unforgettable. Thank you for a beautiful stay and for maintaining such a special place. We highly recommend this casita to any couple looking for the perfect blend of privacy, comfort, and convenience!

Nice quaint getaway

Very pleased with El Jefe and it's stand alone space that was quiet and comfortable. Having the large tub upstairs from the bedroom was inconvenient but the spaces were well furnished. Would stay there again.
