“An adequate facility for an overnight stay for a traveler or road trip. Well placed in a quieter area close to parklands and dining areas. Limited in room facilities which is why i would recommend for overnight stop and not a holiday venue, but it is clean and tidy and comfortable and the staff are very friendly.”

“The beachcomber is a great getaway hotel - pool area is magic, right on the lake and makes you feel like you could be in Fiji. Room was large and beds comfy. Nicely renovated. Breakfast was good, delicious coffee and option of eggs. We will def return! Tip- get a lakeview room”

“At the time we stayed it was very good value. The only comment is that the room is almost perfect but needs a fair bit of engineering maintenance. Floors flood with water when showering and a few broken fittings and loose handles. Otherwise great.”

“Lovely lady at check on. I had a shower in the afternoon and the water was only slightly warmer than cold. It was hot in the morning. No bathroom mat which was a bit strange. Bed was comfortable. Older property that could do with some TLC. Carpark looked like it was freshly concreted so maybe they ate starting to renovate. Was it the best place that I've stayed at in Cessnock? No. Was it the cheapest place I've stayed at in Cessnock? No. Was it value for money? Yes. ”

“A really well situated property close to Peterson House which was our meeting point for our hot air balloon ride at 5am in the morning. Comfy beds, beautiful spa bath and clean apartment but a little outdated. It needs a good touch up especially the furniture in the loungeroom. Pool area also very nice and we were close to Harrigans pub and restaurant. ”
