  • Il nostro comodo e luminoso cuscino da spiaggia è pronto per il tuo divertimento nel sole Surfside! Il nostro cottage ha una vista sul Golfo ed è la quarta casa dall'ingresso della spiaggia di sabbia (facile pisello) e due ristoranti sulla spiaggia popolari. Situato in una strada senza uscita che si trova proprio nel luccicante Golfo del Messico, l'ora della spiaggia non ha problemi. La strada ha un ponte ben mantenuto per la spiaggia. Vieni qui per goderti tutto il necessario per allontanarti dalla città e rilassarti completamente mentre ti immergi nei panorami e nei suoni del surf!

Great pictures BUT disappointing reality

We selected this property based on other reviews and the pictures shown online. The management company was very responsive and the checkin process was smooth. The pictures make the space look quite large when in reality they are not. Some areas have been freshly painted but trim and vents/returns are aged and dirty. The toilet is stained and there are notes about known issues within the unit (no baths in the tub, don’t use a particular outlet while using the microwave, etc). The couch slip covers are dingy and dirty. Overall the place is small and would be ok for a family with small kids. There was not room in the closets to store anything. Overall the pictures look good but don’t match reality. Be sure to wash the dishes and silverware before use, there is no dishwasher and the silverware organizer is gross. For the price we spent on a weekend I would have expected more. Very disappointing.

Excellent location four houses from the beach

The house was clean and easy to manage. You walk off the driveway, pass three more and there is a beach bridge. 2 streets over is a beach entrance where, with a beach pass, you can park on the beach. There is a great restaurant within walking distance. I highly recommend this place. Could have had guests as the second bedroom had a full bottom/twin top bunk. Go and enjoy.

Cute place, great location!

I am terrible at distances, but it's about half a block walk to the beach! You can see the Gulf from your seat on one of the sofas. The property is very cute and relatively small, I would say suitable for no more than 3 or 4 people. It was perfect for two. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cute platters & bowls, and glasses. The bedding was very soft and comfortable. The full-sized bottom bunk has a very soft mattress, so that may be something to consider if you have back problems. We both had to do a little work, and the internet service was lightening fast! I would recommend it for a "work from home" get away. A couple of notes: there is no washer/dryer that we could find on the property, though I recall it specified there was one. One of the pans is a nonstick that is heavily scratched and should be replaced for the safety of your guests. There is a smart TV with access to Netflix, Prime ,etc using your own log ins. Both of us would happily stay at this property again! Cheers, G & A

Family getaway

Booking, check-in and check-out were super easy! We loved having a full kitchen to make dinners and enjoy on the deck. Super close to the beach and a couple of cute local restaurants. Plenty of space for 4 adults to sleep comfortably. It’s always a bit nerve wracking to book in a new spot, but we loved our stay!

Overall very nice. Constructive observations: 1. Could use a plumber: (a) tub/shower useful only as shower. (b) bathroom sink drain plug stuck/broken. 2. Guest guide listed a dishwasher; if one present, well disguised as we never found 3. Loved it

Location was great. Less than a minute to walk down to the beach. Beach was clean, even Sunday morning after being crowded Saturday night. The folks on Surfside take pride in their beach, it’s awesome. Beach house was nice and comfy with four of us. Ate dinner on the balcony in the evening with nice ocean view. Don’t miss the Surfside Taqueria and the Drive Thru Daiquiri spot in the same little center. Awesome tacos and daiquiris packed a punch. Really enjoyed the weekend.

Pleasant stay.

We selected this property because it was just the right size for our family of 4. 2 Adults and 2 kids age 7 and 2. It is an easy walk to the beach. This was our first time using this kind of service and rental so I don’t having to compare it too. I was a good experience for the most part, we did get locked out once when the electric code failed to open the door. We call the management and with in 20 min they did call us back even though it was after their business hours. Very polite and professional. By that time I guess the lock reset and it let us in. I wish the tub part of the shower work because my 2 year old is not fond of showers but we made it work. But other than that my kids and I enjoyed the rental. Bunk beds were a hit with my 7 year old and I loved drinking my coffee in the morning on the porch looking at the Gulf.

Surfside beach house

This house is a nicely renovated and maintained older property just right for a handful of people. It has very a comfortable indoor with a very nice outdoor deck (both screened and unscreened). Lovely space. My only concern was that there was no automatic dishwasher. Although the kitchen is small, I think one could and should be added for health reasons given the usage by so many different folks. I don't want to have to worry about the sanitation of the dishes and utensils I am using and I don't really want to wash dishes on vacation.

Cute little beach house

This is a small beach house: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. The bathroom is in the hall, not connected to either bedroom. The "master" bedroom has 1 fullsize bed. And the room is small, so one side of the bed is pushed up against the wall. The second bedroom seems larger, and has a bunk bed. The bottom bunk is a full size bed, and there is a pullout trundle bed underneath the full size bed. The top bunk is a twin size bunk. I guess, with the trundle bed, you could have 4 people sleeping in the 2nd bedroom, and 2 people sleeping in the "master" bedroom. But, the house would be very crowded with so many people, and there is only one bathroom. We had 2 adults, 2 kids, and that was about perfect for the size of the house. There is stuff (belonging to the owner?) in the bedroom closets, so we didn't try to utilize the closet space for our luggage or clothes. So, the floorspace of the master bedroom was crowded with our stuff during our stay. I should have checked the dresser drawers. We probably could have used those. The kitchen is great. They had lots of kitchen equipment. We ate "in" almost always, and they had all the kitchen utensils we needed including sharp knives, frying pan, toaster, coffee maker, etc. Stuff we wanted, but wasn't provided: Extra trash bags (we had 1 kitchen trash bag) More toilet paper (we had 3 small rolls for 6 nights) Ziploc bags Extra paper towel roll Hair dryer coffee Kids, 6 and 10, had a great time at the beach, and there is an abundance of beach toys in the storeroom. We took different ones each time. They provided a surf board, stand-up paddle board, sand toys, noodles, a donut-shaped float, tonka truck, large sand pails (actually old paint pails, which are perfect!). And, there was a child's life jacket (I think size small) which fit our 7 year old. The weather was great. But, IMO, it is too hot in August for mid-day beach'ing. We went in the mornings, about 7am-9am, and again in the evening at about 5 or 6pm until sunset at about 8:30pm. We didn't need sunscreen for those hours. We had a jellyfish sting at the end of the visit. However, I never saw any jellyfish. In case of sting, I advise bringing a little bottle of vinegar to the beach with you. We didn't have vinegar, but we used the balsalmic vinegar from the beach house. Internet service was excellent.

Great location, average facilities

The location was great. Just a short walk to the beach, and you can see the gulf from the living area. The screened in porch was great, especially with kids. And although there are several places where the screen is torn, we ate every meal out there. The beach toys and chairs were also a huge bonus because we did not have to bring our own. The living and outdoor areas were a great size for our stay. The bedrooms, however, are quite small, and with the size of beds and extra furniture, there really is little room to put your things or store a suitcase. The kitchen wasn’t quite as “stocked” with usable cooking utensils and pots/pans as we’re used to in rentals. Lots of “entertaining” kitchen pieces, but very little actual cooking pieces. My biggest issue, however, was the limited number of outlets. Each room seemed to have everything (lamps, tvs, etc) plugged in to an extension cord run under a rug or furniture, and plugged in to only 1 outlet. Not sure how appropriate that is as far as safety is concerned. Overall, a good place to stay for the price, but the details leave a little to be desired.

Before renting this property, it would have been nice to know that the house next door was under construction. There was a porta-potty in the front yard between this vacation rental and the house under construction, as well as a large rented dumpster next door. We were awakened early both mornings to heavy machinery work by a dump truck and an excavator. We didn’t use the covered deck or front porch during our mornings before heading off to the beach due to construction going on and workers present. The A/C struggled to cool the place during the evenings and the white slip covers on the furniture in the living room were stained and looked dingy upon arrival. The proximity to the beach was very nice and the space itself was adequate for our family of 4.

Cute and cozy!

Very cute and cozy. Fresh and clean. Short walk to the beach. Loved having all the beach chairs, sand toys and other things to use. You might want to bring bottled water as the water is not so good to drink. But overall a great little place to stay

Wonderful!

We had a great visit, it was slightly small but very clean and comfortable. The access to the beach was even closer than expected.
