Unwind in Surfside Beach at this lovely cottage. Beach view but set back so you can enjoy your privacy. This cozy retreat features a tropical bedroom with a king bed and a bunk bed for the little ones, perfect for a serene night's sleep. The living room offers a cool space to relax & has a sofa bed for additional guests. Enjoy Gilligans' amazing ocean side deck & bar where you can relax and listen to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, There is also a fenced pet yard with a comfortable sitting area so you can chill with your furry friends.AC, WiFi, and a washer / dryer insure a hassle-free stay. We're happy to assist with any questions during your stay in paradise.........

Kevin, the host, was the easiest & friendliest owner I’ve ever worked with for a stay. He was very communicative, very friendly, had a ton of great information & advice, & really made the trip stress & hassle-free. Such a tremendous experience! On top of that, the home was very well maintained & cared for, had all the amenities you may need, & was literally right next to a beach access boardwalk. Super convenient! In addition to that, this home is definitely pet-friendly, as there is a fenced in yard beneath the home that even has doggie/poop bags conveniently provided in a container that’s mounted to one of the stilts near the stairs. We did not bring our dogs with us this trip, but we will definitely consider doing so the next time we come down. It’s rare that I stay in the same place multiple times, but this experience was so wonderful that my family & I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we come visit. Kevin has definitely done a great job making Gilligan’s Beach Hut feel like a home away from home. We can’t thank him enough for the wonderful experience & cozy weekend by the sea.

Relaxing stay right off the beach

Cute little beach house with a view of field of wildflowers and walkway leading to the beach! Very clean, had everything we needed. The house is so close to the beach you can see it from the porch! If you are picky about drinking water, bring it with you.

4th of July

It was a great time in Surfside. Gilligan's Beach Hut was perfect for our needs. For the 4th we didn't have to fight the crowds for beach space because we could observe from afar. We could come and go as we pleased and had a perfect little retreat to come back to.

Great weekend getaway

Every year, we take a beach trip for my husband‘s birthday. We’ve been to Florida, Alabama, Gulf Coast, East Coast, South Padre Island, and Corpus Christi. This year, we decided to go to Surfside because of how close it is to home, but I was a little hesitant because I’m not crazy about Galveston. To my delight, surfside is a lazy, laid-back beach town. I found Gilligan’s beach hut, and thought it was perfect for my family of five and one small dog. And, it was. Right on the beach, perfect size, and amenities. I especially appreciated the fenced in area for my dog to run around and so I did not have to put her on the leash every time she went outside. We had everything we needed and the communication was great. We are planning to return in August for a longer trip.

Love this sweet little house!

Wake up to coffee on the deck, seeing and hearing the surf. Very short walk to the beach. Cottage is comfy, cozy and well equipped. Host most helpful and available. We look forward to staying again.
