“After a week camping in awful weather, I wanted to get a place whilst I met up with some old friends, I booked this place on line, and I'm so glad I did! It was very comfortable, clean and very well equipped, the owners are very friendly, and have done a great job in renovating the building into a 5 star accommodation, would highly recommend it”

“Brandlehow is the perfect place to relax and refuel. The location is superb, nestled in the woodlands and on the shores of Derwentwater. Most days began with a coffee overlooking the lake, watching the sunrise and the cloud disperse. Beautiful walks from the doorstep and of course a lot of kayaking right from the door. “Was even cuter than the pictures showed! Very warm and clean and everything was clearly well thought out and provided for. I didn’t see anywhere on the listing that we would check in at the property upon arrival so I had to call VRBO to clarify before arriving since I had not received an email with check-in info like they said I was supposed to. “This place is in a lovely location and is a decent size property with plenty of parking. The beds are really comfy and showers nice and powerful. Lovely soft sheets and towels. The kitchen is well equipped. Great views from front and back of the property too. It would be even better if it had a more comfortable sofa, bigger TV and decent size dining room table (it's tiny for 4 people).”
