bit of a walk from parking to the door, which made the luggage process a pain, but I didn't realize this was a condo and not a stand alone house when booking. The kitchen table and living room furniture is very small for a 4 bedroom place, and the very old TV was slow and frustrating. But beyond those minor inconveniences, everything else was good. This place is perfect for a group of 4.

All that we expected, well stocked easy instructions re: heat and air. Clean grill and 2 porches.Dated bathrooms but vlean plenty of towels.6 can fit at kitchen. Easy access to all the sights and the Spa was amazing!

Check-in was easy and smooth. Info about passes, parking, heat, cooling systems all well communicated. We had 9 people staying at the house which it sleeps 10. But the main gathering space is a bit tight to fit everyone around the table. Bedrooms & bathrooms worked really well for our large group!

WONDERFUL!!!

We had a family gathering here. Our two night stay couldn't have been better! There was plenty of room for our group of seven. We enjoyed being able to cook in the well-stocked kitchen as well as grill out on the deck. The bird watching out back was so fun in the mornings! We highly recommend this house as well as the area. If we come back to Galena for a group trip again, we'll be staying here!! :)

Positive feedback

The air conditioning unit was always turning off And since it was really hot the indoor temp was 82 but the loft was very hot and took awhile to be comfortable and that was frustrating! The place was clean !!!!! There was only 1/4 paper towel in the kitchen and no extra toilet paper under the sink and no Kleenex to be found in any room! Woke up Saturday to ants all over the kitchen counter! Coffee pot off switch doesn’t work, made coffee Saturday morning turned the switch off when we left to go to our reunion, came back to the unit to find coffee smell though out the unit. The only way to turn off coffee pot was to unplug it. Also some electrical outlets in unit need replacing, plugged in laptop cord and chargers for cell phones and plugs just fell out.

Family

Everything was great! Communication was smooth never had to figure out how to find info, the binder n framed instruction was very helpful A couple suggestion, bath mat in 2 nd floor bath Toilet was very short/small. Update/upgrade Also there was a broken glass in cabinet, I put tape over the chip so no one would get cut. We saw wild turkey n babies, deer and cute little woodchuck! We had a great time!!

Convenient and Cozy

We stayed here for a wedding in Galena and found this listing to be so convenient with all of the bedrooms and bathrooms and its proximity to downtown Galena. Would definitely recommend it!

Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was perfect. The view from the back deck was lovely. The house was very comfortable with plenty of space for our group. Communication with the owner was terrific. Thanks for a great weekend!

Spacious and Charming

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was well-appointed with plenty of room to spread out and have privacy, while also offering great common spaces to gather. It was comfortable with cozy beds and tasteful decor.

Golf weekend

We had 8 guys staying there. The accommodations allowed 5 to have their own bed, 2 on sofas, and 1 on his own air mattress. That worked for a weekend trip. The place is not new, but relatively clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to make coffee and eat breakfast before heading to the course. We would stay there again, though it may be better with 4 or 6 guys, so everyone gets a bed or at least a sofa.

Nice place but not totally clean (or else not totally ready for occupancy)

We were disappointed at the general cleanliness if tge place. The bedding, baths and kitchen were adequately fresh but the stairs going to the lower level were very dirty with black pieces of ??? (we had 4 kids using those stairs) and the log holder was left half on and half off the hearth with a ton of ash, grit and debris all over. I have photos if you’d like to see. Another major complaint is that we could not use the gas grill as it was filthy which was very disappointing and altered our family dinner plans. The curtain for the slider to the downstairs walk-out was in disrepair as well. We had some general disappointment with the whole state of the unit. The unit itself is comfortable and very family friendly and the location is perfect. It is in a very lovely area. We would stay here again if guaranteed that it was in a cleaner condition and if the gas grill was clean and ready for use. I feel that the cost of the weekend stay was definitely a bit too high for the condition of the unit.

Couples golf getaway

Great location to golf and town. Clean and tidy. It was a tight fit for 3 couples, but we weren’t there much anyway. Unit is older and a little tired. Smelled musty until we were able to get the air going. It was very hot out and unit was warm when we arrived at 6pm. The guys planned to cookout for us on first night but gas tank was empty. We bought one conveniently at the General Store. Grill is small and limiting. Manager was very responsive to helping us get things figured out. Back porch provided beautiful setting. We would stay again if just a single couple or two couples. Galena is a beautiful place!

Serene and comfortable

We really enjoyed everything from the wildlife and scenic views off the deck to the convenient kitchen/dining area...bedrms spacious and comfy. Hostess communicates promptly and with kindness. LOVE HER!

Ski Trip 2022

We've never stayed in a more well equipped place. All the comforts of home. If I'd say anything negative it would be to be mindful of travel time instead of how many miles away. It's beautiful terrain leads you to hills and curves, but nothings a straight shot. But that's trivial to the beauty on the journey. We were in the middle of the ski resort and downtown Galena, which is exactly what we wanted. We will be back for golf season next!!!!!

Quiet vacation

Nice views from the living room and deck. Cozy fireplace. Very nice club house with game room and large indoor swimming pool. We appreciated the household supplies.
