Beach Babe - 3/2 1st Floor Dog Friendly (Duplex)

Welcome to BEACH BABE - the downstairs unit of this great duplex on the East End of Galveston just steps from the beach. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths welcome up to 10 guests. Relax, refresh and renew your body, mind and spirit. Coastal inspired but just the right touches to make it feel beachy without overdoing the decor - every detail has been considered from the fully equipped kitchen to the cushions for the front porch (stored inside when not in use) to the comfortable mattresses to the picnic tables in the backyard - with the guest in mind in every decision that was made. Your safety is #1 - your comfort is # 1A when it comes to this property. Come Stay With Us and experience the difference of great properties, great comfort and great service at Beach Babe - welcoming up to 10 guests ---- and if you have a larger family or group - the upstairs unit of this duplex - Cabana Boy - also welcomes 10 - so up to 20 can be together but separate if you know what we mean!

The exterior spaces of this duplex are shared between the guests in the two units (upstairs – Cabana Boy, downstairs – Beach Babe) including grill, fish cleaning table, picnic tables and enclosed parking.

This home is the closest to one of Galveston’s famed Italian/pizza restaurants – Mario’s Seawall just steps from the door. Grab our favorite Joey Pizza, a great salmon salad, amazing pasta dishes, and home made gelato/ice cream or other fabulous desserts to eat at home- or dine at the restaurant indoors or out and enjoy the leftovers later. There is also a Mexican restaurant steps away (Gorditas) which is great, and of course the beach is just across Seawall Boulevard. There are shopping options not far away from convenience stores to Walgreens to Arland’s grocery, and the larger stores (Kroger, Walmart and Randall’s are only a few miles away as well. The unit has full sized laundry in the home so you can stay longer while packing light – or opt to do your laundry before going home. Because families and individuals have personal preferences and can have skin sensitivities, we don’t provide laundry products.

Beach Babe’s primary bedroom has a king bed and en suite bath with tub/shower combination. There are two additional bedrooms – one with a full-sized bed, the other with two sets of bunks, each twin over double and there is a shared hall bath with a shower as well. There is seating in the kitchen as well as the dining room, and the living room has comfy seating, too. Televisions are located in the living room and bunk room but not the other two bedrooms.

Both Beach Babe and Cabana Boy are dog friendly welcoming up to 2 dogs, with a maximWelcome to Sea La Vie (our translation of “this is the life at the beach!) a spacious 2 bedroom, 2 full bath home about 1 mile from toes in the sand! Two private bedrooms, each with a super comfy queen bed, and two full bathrooms offer enough room for 2 couples to share space comfortably.

My Galveston Getaway manages this and many other properties in Galveston, and we love helping families celebrate special occasions. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, proposal or retirement – let us know! We like to play a small part in the celebration when we know about it.

Whether you’re traveling on vacation for the beach, the history, eating your way across an island, or work (there are several refineries, hospitals and other industries that bring workers to town) make Beach Babe your home away from home.

We welcome up to 2 dogs with pre-approval and the $75 non refundable per dog fee, to join the family at Beach Babe. We do ask that dogs not be permitted on furniture, and if possible/reasonable kenneled while the humans are out of the home. Please clean up after Fido/Fifi when out in the fenced yard, too.

We provide starter supplies of toiletries, paper products, dish cleaning options, trash bag and coffee. Keep in mind that these are not necessarily intended to last your group the duration of your stay – but rather to get you started for that first night or two while you learn where your favorite shopping places are located. These are truly starter supplies. We also provide kitchen towels, bed sheets for each bed, and one hand, wash and bath towel for each guest that the property accommodates. For those who are wanting to stay longer – we can certainly arrange with our housekeeping contractors, for a fee, to perform interim cleaning or a linen swap during your stay.

After making your reservation you will receive a link to complete our renters agreement. The only information we request differently than the booking platforms (VRBO/AirBnB) is your personal email address, the names and ages of each person who will be in the property during your stay, and your driver’s license information as well as an emergency contact should we need to reach someone on your behalf. Thank you for completing this in a timely manner so that we may send you the check-in instructions for the property you have reserved.

Galveston is a barrier island in Texas located on the Gulf of Mexico. From time to time we have unexpected rain, thunderstorms, and sometimes we do have tropical storms and hurricanes. From time to time there may be brief interruptions in electricity and WiFi services due to weather. You should consider purchasing trip interruption or cancelation protection through the platforms or another source. We are unable to guarantee sunny days, mosquito free nights and perfect weather, nor do we refund for these possibilities. We issue refunds in the event of mandatory evacuations issued by a governmental agency, or for the property being unavailable due to damages and extended power outages.

For all reservations made directly through our website and through VRBO, there is a $300 security deposit “hold” required. You certainly can purchase trip cancellation/interruption coverage through those platforms as well if you so desire, this is a damage “deposit” hold. This is released once our housekeepers advise that the property has been left in the condition received with no damages occurring during your stay. This is not a charge, but a hold on the credit card on file with which the reservation is made.

Softball tournament stay

People from the mexican restaurant across the street tried to break in one night. We were never provided parking permits. The lock on the gate was broken. We killed roaches in the bedroom, living room and in the ktchen multiple different nights.
