The Isle House- Vacation Rental

Very unique property located in the highly sought-after neighborhood of Sea Isle with 4 different living/sleeping levels.

**3 night minimum stay

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
-Lower level casita is a 1/1 and has its own entry.
-The main house is a 3/2.
-Main house features the Master Suite upstairs with a private deck.
Kitchen, dining and living/bar are on a lower level, down a few stairs.
-Sleeps 8 in beds but can accommodate up to 10 on the couch and more with air mattresses.

The home is located in the Sea Isle subdivision on the private west end of Galveston Island. Sea Isle is the most popular subdivision on the island due to its many popular amenities. Sea Isle is the only subdivision that has a fishing pier that goes a hundred yards into west bay. In addition, it has a marina, small store, bait shop, sandbar grill restaurant (downstairs), and a nicer area upstairs with the same menu and an air-conditioned pub-bar. Other amenities include tennis courts, boat ramp, private beach parking and swimming pool. The swimming pool is only open between Memorial Day and Labor Day; Guests can purchase a pool pass directly from the Sea Isle Property Association; located next to the pool area. The Sand Bar restaurant is popular for many west end folks with karaoke on Friday nights and entertainment on Saturdays. There is even an occasional fishing tournament held at the marina.

Absolutely HORRIFIC

We weren’t notified that the reservation was canceled until we arrived to our destination 5hr away from home. The host failed to notify VRBO so we had to call to find this out when we tried to reach the host several times for the check-in info. Vrbo offered to put 10 people in 2 room hotel for 2 days until they found us a house that would only stay in 1 night!! We had to ask for a full refund and God blessed us with a place thru another vendor!!! This is my worst experience ever!!!

Horrible

On the inside, there was roaches everywhere dead and alive. There was dust on the tables and the bed sheets had hair and stains all over them. Also it said it sleeps 12 and there is only room For 8 .Outside The property was damaged .. tails are falling apart the outside decking has missing boards. Super dangerous and unsanitary. When I told the property manager they said no one reported the issues and they cleared the place 2 days before. There is no way that happened. We did not stay and they refused to give me my money back. I have pictures to show all of this.

We enjoyed ourselves.

The house was beautiful. We had a great time. We all enjoyed our rooms and the canal behind the house. The kids enjoyed the beach in walking distance. Thank you for a great family get-together.

Decent Stay

Overall the stay was decent. Check in was fine just as any other property. Owner did allow us to check in a bit early which was helpful for us. However there was no key to launch the boat, a previous renter kept that. Was a hassle waiting to launch boat when someome was there. THe house was very dated with a very dated porch and boat dock. The boat lift at the dock didnt work. There was no fish cleaning table as described. Inside the house was clean and comfortable. We could not get the wifi to work. Over all I would rate this property as decent for the price of the stay.

Sea Isle Rental

The property has a lot of levels and stairs - just fyi if that’s an issue for you. It was nice to have two pantries. Outdoor bathroom and bar area were nice to have although it could use a fridge and a grill of some king. One of the closet doors wouldn’t close making it hard to use the closet. The master bedroom blinds did not close and in the two secondary bedrooms - there is not a window covering as you can see on the listing. Thanks so much!

Great weekend house for a big group

We rented the property for senior prom & I took the opportunity to also celebrate my 40th bday. The view & location is beautiful. The neighbors are so friendly, waving & saying hi everyone we went on golf cart & kayak. We had plenty of room for everyone & even a few extra that needed to stay instead of drive ;) lots of different spaces around outside to relax & hangout Clay was very responsive & helpful when I had questions. Kitchen if fully equipped with any utensil you could need. All the beds & pillows are super comfy. AC’s work great! The downstairs area is awesome, great bar area with a 1/2 bath. Outdoor rinse off shower. I enjoyed the swing every morning & evening. The kids enjoyed swimming in the canal & catching crabs at night (bring your own net or traps) For such a high price & minimum 3 night stay I’d like to see the cleaning crew do a better job…I was greeted with some things to clean when we got there. I think the dock needs major work, I had to keep reminding the kids be careful because of rusty nails that were no longer flush & some of the boards were loose & had to put a chair over so we wouldn’t walk in them. The fish cleaning station pictured is also broken leaving exposed metal. Also a hammock, kayak, & water pad (maybe a golf cart) should be included, I had to rent those through a separate company. K6 dropped off & picked up my kayak rental & Gulf coast concierge dropped off & picked up my golf cart rental. Beach gear would be nice as well (especially for faraway travelers, I’m close & frequent the beach so had my own) Corner store, restaurant & pool is close. However 2nd night we ate at restaurant 4 of us got food poisoning (Sandbar at west marina)

Not what we were expecting

-Refrigerator makes a loud clicking noise -No fishing green lights -Dated restrooms & dingy -Sinks won’t drain -Unfinished/unsafe balconies outside of the spare rooms. -Main upstairs deck is missing parts of the side rails -Blinds are dingy -Dishes are dirty -Mattresses are all uncomfortable. -The linens and towels were sub par. -Water didn’t get too hot -No TV in the casita as pictured - The outside area was great!!
