    The convenient location keeps you close to a plethora of shops and restaurants as well as boat charters on the channel. Hop on the historic trolley just 2 blocks away for easy transport to Moody Gardens at the Seawall Beach Loop and shopping/dining at the historic Downtown Loop.

    LIVING AREA

    A comfy sofa and love seat invite you to unwind in the living area. Watch movies on the flat-screen TV.

    KITCHEN & DINING

    Stainless steel appliances sparkle alongside spacious granite countertops in the kitchen. Perch at the kitchen bar for four as dinner simmers on the gas range.

    Share home-cooked meals around the table for four in the dining area.

    BED & BATH

    This two-story home sleeps six guests in three bedrooms.

    Sleep soundly on a king-size bed in the primary suite. The en-suite bathroom boasts a double vanity and a walk-in shower.

    The second bedroom holds two twin-size beds, and the third bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed. The guest bathroom is configured with a tub/shower combination.

    A half bath provides added convenience.

    OUTDOOR AREA & AMENITIES

    Kick back with a cold drink in a rocking chair on the back deck. The grassy, fenced backyard offers space to play outdoor games.

    The covered front porch is furnished with a bistro table for two. The balcony has two Adirondack chairs and a lovely downtown view.

    EXTRA PERKS & MORE DETAILS

    Extra perks include complimentary Wi-Fi and a washer/dryer. A beach umbrella, chairs, and towels are provided in the rental.

    Parking is available for two compact cars in the driveway. Additional street parking may be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    Access to the main entrance is via five exterior steps.

    THE LOCATION

    Stroll 6 minutes to the heart of The Strand to admire Victorian houses, dine at tasty restaurants, and shop at unique stores. Downtown Galveston is also home to museums and historic sites.

    Drive 5 minutes to Porretto Beach to soak up the sun by the Gulf.

    Check out the roller coasters at Pleasure Pier (2 miles) and exciting waterslides at Schlitterbahn (6 miles).

    Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

    Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours.     Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Nice Place in Galveston

You never know what you might get with a short term rental but this place in Galveston is great. Nice and clean with good WiFi. We would stay at this place again when we find ourselves in need of a place in Galveston. The location is very near the Strand and some great breakfast restaurants.

Extremely comfortable and guest-oriented. Well worth the cost. Hotel style luggage racks w/b nice.

Entirely positive. Loved the location, too. We were there for a rehearsal dinner and wedding on the Strand and extremely convenient for that. Loved the neighborhood, too.

Everything was perfect

This house I beautifully decorated, comfortable and only a few blocks from the strand! It had everything we needed! The K and Q bed frames are bent and one downstairs window does not have lock latches. We hope to rent again!

Great house, great location!

We really enjoyed this property. It was very comfortable and spacious for 4 adults and a baby. It was ideally situated to walk to the cafe's and shops. The location was nice and quiet, despite being so close to everything! If we find ourselves back in Galveston, we would book this property again :)

Felt like home!

Great location and very comfortable home. We spent some rainy days inside and the smart TV, great Wi-Fi and board games kept us occupied, but when the weather lifted we had great walks along the street with beautiful historic homes. Easy access to the Strand, Pier 21 exhibits, but 18th will shoot you to the beach in no time flat.

Great property had issues with a leak in the kitchen sink i felt it should have been addressed better but property was responsive to us wish they had trash bags available and extra supplies in the bathroom but overall stay was wonderful i would definitely book again

Great location, comfortable accommodations

Loved this little gem. Perfect location, easy to find and had all the amenities needed for a wonderful stay. I did not give 4 stars only because of the smoke smell that permeated the house. I’m an asthmatic and i also have two small children so this was not ideal for us- we spent a lot of our time away so it wasn’t a deal breaker- but would not have stayed if we had known about the smoke

Galveston Strand - Weekend Fun!

This house was clean and comfortable. Our trip was booked months in advance, but Hurricane Beryl hit the area just 4 days before our scheduled arrival date. When you're buried in lemons, you drink lots of lemonade! The power came on the day before our trip and we had a great time on the island! This home could not be more perfectly located for a visit to the Historic Strand! We basically just slept there, but it's easy to see how a family could use it as a base of operations during a longer trip. Book through Vacasa directly and save yourself the excessive Venmo service fee.

Pleasant and Convenient

Nice long weekend on the island with Mardi Gras. Very convenient to the Strand. Well cared for property for a full Family. The alley parking spots were good, but only able to access the home via code from the front door. The parking passes for parking on the street were dated 2022, so we didn't use them. A little difficult to get on the balcony as the door sticks real bad, otherwise enjoyed our stay.

Decor was very nice and overall other than the stove oven didnt work. AC had to be checked too it was timing out at 11pm at night - not fun in the heat.

The process to book was easy but there a few things I would “change/upgrade” better towels, full length mirror, greater focus on cleanliness in bathrooms and luggage racks in each room. Closet in master was locked making it inconvenient to share closet with next bedroom.

Convenient place on the east side

This house was conveniently located to The Strand and the harbor. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. We recommend Coastal Grill, Shucks and Riondo’s for some great food. Be sure and walk the neighborhood to see some beautiful restored houses. The oven didn’t work the week we were there. The repairman couldn’t fix it, but we were not planning on baking anyway. Be sure to bring your own essentials such as coffee and filters, tissues, dishwasher and laundry soap, dryer sheets, etc. This was a little gem and we hope to come back soon—and there’s room enough for our kids next time.

Great Downtown Location

Overall a very nice stay, but we did have some issues which hopefully will be corrected. Pros: Good location for downtown/strand/harbor, comfortable beds, nice layout with living/kitchen & half bath on main floor and bedrooms/baths upstairs. Cons: 1) Upon entering, the loud buzzing from 4 of 6 the mini-split A/C units could not be ignored. Even on low speed, the noise was noticeable. Called in, sent recording as requested and was contacted by maintenance. It was agreed that this would likely take specialist to repair - and it was the weekend-so we just put the fan speeds on low and lived with it. With temps only in the 80s, this was ok but would have been miserable on hotter days. Hopefully this is repaired before the next visitor. 2) Icemaker would not dispense through the door. Upon opening freezer, the unit was off-kilter. It could not easily be removed so we had to reach high into the ice bin to get ice. 3) As noted in another review, the assigned parking is behind the unit but you have to enter through the front door keypad. At night, this is a problem. Also, we are experienced with keypads but this one was quite temperamental. It took multiple tries, punching numbers very slowly, to get through the 10digit entry. We'd suggest adding a keypad on the back door to facilitate entry. 4) We'd suggest cushions for the wicker dining chairs. Sitting more than a few minutes on bare legs caused indentions. We had to put towels on the seats.

Lovely, quiet place

Very nice cottage feel in this nostalgic community. Clean, organised, had everything we could have wanted. Loved the back porch, listening to birds, driking great coffee before sunrise, playing with grandson in safe place at sundown. Very good family memories made here .
