Welcome to our condo at Casa Del Mar, a wonderful place to enjoy the island life and get fun in the sun! Our condo is in a prime location right on Seawall Blvd, cross the street and your feet will hit the sand, enjoy Gulf views from the balcony! Our Condo sleeps 6, featuring 1 bedroom with Queen bed, Living area with sleeper Sofa and Bunk bed. A kitchenette with mini-fridge, 2 burner stovetop, Microwave for your convenience. Walking Distance to restaurants, attractions, come relax! Please note, there is a $35 fee at time of check-in collected by the building for parking and amenity access.

Very clean and good communication. The pools are great. Elevators work and carts for luggage are available. Short walk to the beach.Cons:- The kitchen wasnt stocked well (advertised as sleeping 6, but had exactly 6 plates, 3 or 4 mugs, 2 cups, and 2 small juice glasses). - Not enough sleeping for 6 people; it can really only sleep 3 (2 in the big bed, 1 on couch). I would not recommend using the couch as a sleeper, as there is a bar in the middle that was uncomfortable for even my children. The bunk beds are not a size twin and are closer to a small window seat bench. If my 4yo laid on it and did a half roll, he would fall off, because of the size. If you added a sleeping rail, the size is better for a 2 year old on the bottom bunk. But the top bunk would be too tall for a 2 year old to climb up to.

We really enjoyed this property. It is well-represented and displayed on Vrbo and we got what we were expecting. It is a very short walk to the beach. It's a little further, but a quite manageable walk to the Convention Center. The only issue we experienced was one morning there was no hot water. Also, if you book this and like a little background while you fall asleep, plan on using your own music or video because there's no TV or radio in the bedroom. Also, if you need parking, it is paid parking. It's not expensive, but we weren't expecting to pay to park. We will be booking this site again.

The host was very attentive and the room was clean. Location was great, with close access to the beach. However we found bed bugs crawling on the wall after our second night staying! I couldn’t get out fast enough! When relaying information to the host, I never heard anything back, when I was simply just informing them so the situation could be tended to for future guests.

The host was communicative and the amenities were fine. Just a lot of little inconveniences- nonworking tv remote, no bulb in bedside lamp, shower was difficult to understand and the hot water didn’t last very long. Also I don’t think anyone could comfortably sleep on that pull out couch.

The property was clean. The beds were comfy. The condo had plenty of room for 3 adults. Great air conditioner and shower. Plenty of towels. The ocean view and location were great. We were able to walk to the beach from the property. There were only 2 coffee cups and no coffee or snacks were provided as pictured. Overall the stay was nice. Thank you.

Great place but EXTREMELY challenging to get in touch with property host.

It was check in time and I had not received anything from the property host regarding what room or how to access. check in was to be at 4 and at 4:45 had still not heard from anyone and I had even called and texted with no response. It took me having to reach out to VRBO and they finally got in touch with the owner. I was able to finally check in at 5.

Adorable spitw/ a great view

It was clean, decorated cute. The communication was awesome with the rental folks..however, the Casa Del Mar employee charged us $43 dollars to park for less than 24hrs. It was difficult to fi d a spot to park a definitely over priced. I wish it had been listed in the details.

This place is sufficient, but not overly nice

The area is fantastic and the views are even better. The space, however was a disappointment. It is much smaller than the picture shows, I genuinely thought it looked bigger and nicer and was willing to pay more for that for my sister and my visit as she is from out of town. There are dingy spots on the side of the tub, and we were never able to get the shower to work in spite of communication with the owner. The screen door was rusted, unattached, and leaned against the wall in the balcony. The cheapest, plastic porch chairs on the balcony with a peeling, aged tiny table. Bedding and pillows were all of very low quality. The heated pool outside was nice if a bit cold, and all the dishes and kitchen things provided were handy. An alright stay, but not worth the price, we should have gone to the Hampton Inn or something. I likely will in the future.

Beach Stay

This condo was exactly as advertised. Comfy living room to hang out it. Plenty of towels and wash cloths. Small, functional kitchen. Plenty of seating at bar and bar table. Could see the beach from the balcony. Things to be aware of: no freezer, very squeaky bed, put all food in the fridge- sugar ants hit up anything on the counter (orange, apple, foods I usually do not refrigerate)

Nice and clean

The first night was rough due to people partying in the hall, and the bedroom wall faces the hall, and there’s a big window in the bedroom that lets the light in from the hall. I had to put in ear plugs and take a blanket to cover the window to block the light. Other than that, the condo was clean, decorated cute and comfortable!

Overall this property is in a good location. Upon Arrival the room was a little dirty. In defense it is winter time and no one has been inside for awhile i’m sure. Make sure to bring your condiments. There was no shampoo/conditioner or soap. Other then that It was perfect size and the heat/AC work great. We would rent again!

Spontaneous Getaway

Very nice condo. Had everything we needed for a 3-day getaway. Owners were very tentative to our needs. The only complaint we have is it was too bright in the bedroom from the light in the main hallway where you enter the condo. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The Stay Was Great!

The owners were very attentive to our needs and concerns. The room was cozy, the view was fantastic and the overall experience was just what we needed. When you feel at home and you know that it is not your home, then you know that you are in a warm place. Even though we were on a business trip it still made us feel safe to leave and return knowing it will okay. Galveston nights and the breeze off the Gulf of Mexico was perfectly synced. The restaurant that has the famous cat was fantastic. Overall this stay was a 10!
