“It was a nice and quiet location at Serrekunda. But in my first night some people held a wedding banquet downstairs, with loud music until midnight. The room was huge with super big balcony and unbeatable sea view. The restaurant served good food and I had all my breakfast, lunch and dinner there. But I needed to pay for the meals in cash in local currency, unless I could work out how to use the local mobile phone payment app, which I could not. I loved the direct access to the beach. But...

“Amazing stay at one world. I was made to feel so welcome by Mustapha and his team. I had everything that I needed in my apartment and was able to use the communal kitchen to make food. The guest house was very close to the beach, which suited me really well, and having a pool was an extra bonus. Thanks to everyone at one world 🤗”

As someone that doesn't leave reviews often is well travelled ( 12 countries last year alone!) and fussy about where I lay my head for a good nights sleep I cannot recommend Rooftop enough. not only is it a beautiful space and environment its also the people that work there the owner, security the staff and bar team are all incredible no ask is too big or too small and they will go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. “As mentioned, I double booked a second rez for a friend to test what was being offered on Expedia - meaning that my 2nd rez I effectively had 2 rooms reserved for the same day; however 3 rooms still shoed being available with private shower. The staff assured me that this time I would get the room with private bath. ONE staff allowed the transfer with the new rez but a few hours later another staff asked for additional money for this room with the manager behind the scene on the phone. I...

“All very good. Only thing: there should be body lotion and hair conditionner in the room. Also, checkout time is noon. Cleaning came at 11:45 AM, sending me scrambling to vacate the room because my phone wasn't handy to check the time. They didn't ask I vacate right (it's Ok, we will come later) then but I got the message. ”

“Hotel fatiscente. Meno di due stelle. Le camere sembrano delle celle di alcatraz. Corridoio sporco e contro soffitto con animali al seguito. Addirittura ci è stata assegnata una camera con un buco nel vetro. Linea Wi-Fi presente solo nella zona bar per qualche minuto al giorno. Unica nota positiva la cucina. Siamo stati costretti a cambiare hotel a metà soggiorno. Chiederò il rimborso in quanto non c'era un servizio decente tra quelli indicati. Meglio un ostello”
