We arrived at the hotel and were turned away by the security guard before we could park and check in. After 3 different conversations with the guard and another hotel receptionist from a nearby hotel, we were eventually directed to a completely different hotel reception down the hill 5 mins drive away, where we were told that we need to use an app to check in, despite us having driven to a different location! This then took a long time to do, the instructions to collect keys were slow to arrive (via Whatsapp) and we had travelled a long time. When we asked staff at that reception for help, they could not provide it and said we had to check in and collect our instructions digitally (despite us being right there!). All of this could have been communicated before we arrived, and we could have completed the information beforehand to save us time and stress.
The rooms smelt of mould and looked out onto a building site. It wasnt' the room we originally booked, and it wasn't clear what the other rooms we could choose from were like. The rooms were pretty basic (which was ok) but we had a very inefficient air conditioner in one of the bedrooms and no window. The towers were bleak and seemed empty and scary.
The car park space we were allocated was miles from our room, several stories down, really poor signage to lifts and ways out, and yet there were lots of available parking spaces much closer.
the pool was nice but needed repairing.
