“New owners, friendly staff, clean room, nice breakfast, property showing its age, hot tub very high in chlorine. Could not use properly. Pool was too cold to use. Enjoyed complimentary snacks in room and fruit!”

“My stay here as a solo traveler was the best decision I made for my trip. Dave and Shami were so friendly, kind, welcoming, and just genuinely good people. The room was so cozy and has an incredible view overlooking Rotorua. The breakfast spread was incredible and it was lovely to spend some time talking to other travelers about where they’re from and get ideas. I absolutely plan to come back again and recommend this place to anyone passing through Rotorua.”

“Gorgeous view and location. Was unaware that the restaurant was closed due to flooding which was inconvenient as when we booked it said that the restaurant was still operational. Everything was a bit run down but clean and smelled great. Shower appeared to be a bit dirty around the edges and sink took a while to drain and toilet didn't flush well. The resort manager Clare was lovely. Loved the glow worms. Would've been nice to know that the restaurant and a huge majority of the bar area is...

“We stayed in a cabin withy ensuite, it was perfect. Nice and clean, adequate heating for the cold evenings and nights. The beds were comfy. The wee kitchen had a two hotplate and a microwave. The bench space was a bit squishy for everything but you just made it work. There was a bait station opposite our cabin which is very useful and we used it. The locality of the site is great near all the Rotorua lakes and handy to the city also”

“The property was cozy, the staff was helpful, and accommodating. The rooms and areas were very cleaned and maintained well. Would love to stay here again. We enjoyed the lakeside hot tub as well that was very clean although the light there looks like it needs to be replaced. Would be a great spot for large groups as well.”

“Quick and easy check in. Modern hotel with a very large room (king with lake view). Only parking option is valet so be prepared to pay for valet upon arrival. Within easy walking distance to more restaurants than you can visit. Disappointed that there wasn't a pool. Didn't like that price for breakfast went up if we didn't commit at check in. The price should be the same for guests regardless of when you decide to have it. Overall, a good experience ”

“1 night stay after spending the day on the lake with a JetSki, the room was exactly what we needed with the inroom spa, clean and comfortable, lady at the reception was super friendly and welcoming and made no fuss when I asked if I could park the ute towing the JetSki needing to take up 3 car park lanes. Would stay again.”

“We really loved our spontaneous trip to Rotorua. Thanks to Ripple! The room was warm and incredibly clean! Located right in front of the Rotorua luge which makes so easy to go and enjoy the activity early! We also loved the spa and heated pool. My child loved the trampoline and the playground! Great for families with young children!”
