“Nice place overall - clean and well kept. Owners are nice and friendly. The bad part is the sleep situation. For the room we had, there was a very bright security light from the neighbouring property up the hill, and the light shone onto the thin curtains of our room, and when the tree branches moved inbetween it created quite a light show in our room. “What a gorgeous house in a beautiful area, well run by a lovely couple. We had a wonderful stay; this little gem is tucked away on a quiet hillside spot, with breathtaking views of the coast and on the doorstep of lovely walks, and just a few minutes walk to the towns of Lynton & Lynmouth. Our room was lovely; warm, clean and spacious, a pretty and comfortable bed, soft bedding and nice pillows with a great sea view. “Staff at the hotel were warm and friendly. They couldn’t have done more to make us and our 2 dogs feel welcome. Breakfast was great. Food very fresh and plenty of choices. “Where do I start. 1. On arrival - there are two signs for 'Reception' but actual 'Reception' on arrival was based in Restaurant facility. When I arrived the Receptionist could not find the key to my room, she searched and searched - she tried to contact her 'boss' but could get no response. I was offered a drink but declined as I had a function to attend. She suggested I leave my luggage and she would put this in my room whilst I was away. She tells me that the Reception is open until 11...
