A spacious gourmet kitchen is the heart of this home, abundantly equipped to facilitate any large family meal or small intimate dinner. A new natural gas grill has been recently installed on the deck off the kitchen. Choose to dine at the breakfast nook overlooking the deck and mountains beyond or have a more formal experience in the dining room with comfortable seating for 8.

The family room connects seamlessly with the kitchen boasting expansive windows that allow for plenty of natural light and reveal the stunning surrounding landscape. Comfortable furnishings in the formal living room and a gas fireplace provide a cozy space to relax after a long day on the slopes or exploring the Roaring Fork Valley.

The large back deck offers a tremendous vista of the property and the opportunity to catch glimpses of spring and summer wildflowers, copper foliage in the fall, and wildlife year-round. In the cooler months, relax by the firepit on the newly built patio while enjoying great company and conversation under the stars.

On the main level, the primary bedroom suite is a warm and welcoming respite from an adventurous day. This room is well appointed with a plush king bed, a private seating area, private access to the back deck and an en suite bathroom with a large soaking tub, luxury shower, double vanity, and walk-in closet.

On the upper level, 3 additional comfortably furnished bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms ensure that all guests will find privacy for rest and relaxation. The upstairs loft seating area is a wonderful place to curl up with a book in solitude or the perfect area for a board game with the kids.

A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE OR ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE IS REQUIRED IN WINTER MONTHS DUE TO STEEP AND UNPAVED ROADS AND POTENTIAL SNOWFALL.

This home does not have central air conditioning, but there are fans throughout the home for your comfort.

Please be advised that cell service is spotty in this area. AT&T tends to be more reliable than Verizon. Once at the home, you can use the WiFi service for calls.

Included in the price of your rental is an Administrative Fee for $59. This is required protection insurance provided by Waivo for up to $2500 in accidental damage. The full agreement and list of coverage details can be found in the Additional Rules section on the checkout page.

HOUSE RULES
These rules must be observed on the premises of the Property you have booked. The renter of the Property shall be referred to herein as the “Guest” or “You” and the owner of the Property shall be referred to herein as the “Homeowner”. You, as the Guest, accept and assume full responsibility for ensuring any person permitted at the Property abides by the rules expressed herein. Upon booking, reservation and payment, you agree to abide by the following rules:
A. You are responsible for all occupants of the home and must require that all rules herein, as well as the within the Short Term Rental Agreement, are followed.
B. No one under the age of twenty-five (25) shall qualify to rent this property. You shall not rent or stay at the Property unless there shall be at least one Guest over the age of twenty-five (25) concurrently renting or staying at the Property. All children must be under direct adult supervision at all times.
C. Smoking, vaping and all recreational drug use are NOT permitted in the house or on the Property. A fine will be assessed if these policies are not observed.
D. You must take Garbage/Trash to the curb on the scheduled day(s) of trash removal and not before, as indicated in the Guest Guide located within the Property.
E. Pets are NOT permitted in the house or on the Property unless otherwise stated in the listing. Manager is not authorized to make exceptions to these terms. Not abiding by these terms may result in eviction and forfeiture of amounts paid.
F. You, or any other person on the Property during your stay, may not interfere with the peaceful enjoyment of the neighbors. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM daily. Quiet hours consist of no music and keeping all audio at a minimum level out of respect for the surrounding residents.
G. You are solely responsible for any other person at the Property. Additional persons, other than the number of guests reserved and booked in the original booking and reservation, may NOT stay overnight at the Property.
H. You will be responsible for any fine and/or violation that is imposed on the Homeowner due to the negligence of any person permitted on the Property by you.
I. You shall abide by all Federal, State and Local laws.
J. You shall notify the local police and Homeowner of any illegal activity that is witnessed in or around the Property.
K. You agree not to use the Property for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to, the sale, use or possession of illegal drugs on or around the Property.
L. Absolutely no hazardous materials are permitted to be in or around the Property at any time.
M. You may not use or store Kerosene or space heaters at any time in or around the Property.
N. The burning of candles is not permitted within the Property, with the exception of birthday candles.
O. Under no circumstances may a stove, oven or range be used as a source of heat. All appliances are to be used only for their intended purpose.
P. Charcoal and Gas Barbecue grills may not be used inside any structure located on the Property.
Q. You may not bring your own grill (of any type) or fire pit for use on the premises.
R. Tents or other structures may not be erected on the Property.
S. Commercial photography or filming is not permitted on the Property.
T. You shall use ventilating fans at all times when bathing or cooking.
U. All windows and doors must remain closed during inclement weather.
V. You shall notify Manager of any pest control problems.
W. The use of any provided swimming pool or hot tub is at your own risk. You further understand that any interruption of use will not alter or change any of the terms of this Agreement.
X. You may not block the fire escape at any time.
Y. The Homeowner does not permit large gatherings at the Property. A disturbance caused by you or any person permitted on the Property during your stay which results in any police action, complaints from neighbors is considered sufficient cause for immediate termination of this Agreement, immediate eviction and forfeiture of all monies paid as permitted by law.
Z. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. No towels or linens shall be taken from the house. A cleaning fee is automatically added and charged to you for each booking and reservation. You must keep the Property, inside and out, clean and sanitary at all times. Even though a cleaning fee is charged, you are expected to leave the Property in a clean, neat and orderly condition. An additional cleaning fee may apply if excessive cleaning or trash removal is required upon your departure.
AA. This house is privately owned. The Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the Property. The Homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of any Guest or any other person.

Amazing place! We had such a great time with our family. So spacious, clean and nice. Only 20 min from hot springs and 1 hour from Aspen Snow Mass.Everything in that house made so well. A lot of space for big company.Thank you we have great time.

The balcony and views were great. The gas fire pit was a wonderful alternative to using the wood fire pit since open fires are currently banned. It was nice that all the kitchen appliances and serving dishes, etc. were stored in the large pantry where they could be seen, leaving room in cabinets to store our food items. A hand mixer would be a helpful addition.

Sunlight

My wife and I have been going to Glenwood with our respective families since we were children. We brought our two boys up for years and now we all go with their spouses and children. Sunlight was the best house that we have had the pleasure of staying at. The home checked every box. The space was excellent. Super clean. The grounds were expertly manicured. The firepit area was perfect. And the view from the deck is unreal. Pool by day, deck and barbeque by night. We plan on booking the home next year. Please don't sell it. But if you do, please call us.

We had an amazing 3 night stay with our family of 5 adults and 3 children ages 6-11. The home is beautiful and the property has a resident doe that didn’t get spooked no matter how many times we came outside. The fire pit and deck were our favorite amenities. The view is gorgeous. The home had 4 spacious bedrooms with very comfortable beds and plenty of space. The kitchen has everything you need to make whatever food you are preparing. The only things you might consider bringing are a frying pan (there is a strange shaped 2 handled pan that worked fine) and some baggies and foil, which I always bring along to a rental home. This was a wonderful place and I would definitely stay here again!

Great Getaway and Gathering

I loved this home! To start, this home is in a quiet, serene and scenic area. We had a Doe nibbling on the greens in the yard on our first morning and a Moose enjoying the trickling creek water in the front yard the next day! The grounds were beautiful; there was plenty of room for several cars to park. I especially enjoyed early morning coffee outside on the balcony.All kitchen and bathroom amenities were available for use. If you're concerned about "natural cooling" of the house, we never had an issue. We used the portable and ceiling fans to keep the house cool. The beds were very comfortable. We did a lot of cooking and all appliances were in perfect working condition.We were looking forward to using the bathroom steam room but it looks like that is not in use and recommend that it is taken off the VRBO list of available amenities.

Beautiful stay for a wedding weekend

Loved the house in the quiet and beautiful Sun King neighborhood. The management company was good and bad. The house had lots of salts and spices which was nice, but sparse on other kitchen items. We had asked if it had a crockpot and were told yes, but it doesn’t. Had an issue with a tub faucet that needs repairing and it took about 20 minutes to turn off. But overall we loved the place!

We enjoyed our 4-night stay in June. This property was very clean and was "as advertised." We would certainly stay here again. The kitchen is well-stocked with many spices, cookware/bakeware, and serving dishes. We prepared a few meals, used the grill, and had everything that we needed.

Great getaway for the whole family!

We loved our stay at the Mystic Moose! The property was in a great location…somewhat secluded but close enough to be able to enjoy town. Our kids loved the upstairs bedrooms and really enjoyed the fire pit area 😊 This house had everything we needed for our stay and was very comfortable. The views were amazing too! We’d definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous views! Spacious house.

We stayed at this house for a weekend while rafting in Glenwood Springs. It is located up the mountain... about 15-20 minutes from the downtown area. It was well worth the drive. The views are amazing! It is very peaceful there & we really enjoyed some relaxing and socializing while we were there. The house if well equipped with the basics. We had everything we needed to make a couple of meals. There were 5 of us who stayed at the house, but it had room for more people. I highly recommend this house for your stay in Glenwood Springs!

Awesome Property!

The property and house is exactly as described and exceeded expectations. The house was clean, very large and the outdoor amenities including deck and firepit are awesome! The view from the deck is great! The only negative, it that it is about a 20min drive from Glenwood Springs.

Great Vacation. No sleep

Overall the rooms location and space were great. Not happy about finding out on arrival there was another apartment below/car in the garage. When we asked about it response was quick that it was unoccupied but still unnerving that we weren’t informed. Overpowering cleaning supply scent that did not dissipate for an entire night. Beds were beyond uncomfortable 3 of us did not sleep the entire trip one left early to go home and get sleep. If you enjoy really hard beds this might not be a problem. House rule book differed from emailed directions in terms of departure actions both should reflect the same process. Glenwood springs is a great location to visit and space in the house was really nice!!

Large, cozy & warm in the winter, Great views

We loved staying here- the view is amazing and it's close to Powderhorn. It is bigger than it looks in the photos. The in-floor radiant heat and fireplace made it really cozy. One suggestion for the property manager would be to stock up on coffee filters.... and also the dishwasher made a confusing beeping sound while we were running it that we couldn't figure out so some instructions there might be helpful. It wasn't a big enough deal to call anyone about. Otherwise AMAZING- we loved it!

A Perfect Escape!

Majestic Moose Lodge delivered on every front – stunning views, all essentials covered, and an unforgettable short getaway. The primary suite is on the main floor and has an amazing bathroom with a multi-head separate shower with great water pressure. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillow choices. There are thermostats (heat only) in every room and they show you the temperature outside, inside, and the weather forecast. We were there in the middle of August and the temperatures at night were in the low 50s at the house, so it was really comfortable! The three roomy bedrooms upstairs are equally comfortable with bath access to each. The Queen middle bedroom on the top floor has the best views and is on suite, whereas the other two king and queen rooms are connected via a jack-and-jill bath with private sinks and a sequestered toilet and tub/shower. The deck faces the view out back and the outdoor gas firepit in their picturesque garden is very cozy with plenty of seating. The milky way can be seen at this property every night the clouds allow. It's quite beautiful and peaceful. There is plenty of parking and the location albeit a bit remote if you want to be closer to town was perfect for our needs. It's a beautiful drive up 4 Mile Road and the property sits on 2+ acres at ~7200' elevation. Seriously worth the drive. The pictures online are representative of the property. I can't wait to return!

Mystic Moose was perfect for our family!

Excellent stay at a beautiful home. Fully stocked kitchen, gorgeous views and very clean. Communication with the property team was very quick and they are super responsive. Also the location is perfect for adventures in Glenwood Springs or even a drive to Aspen. Thank you for the great time and hope to stay again.

Perfect in Every Way

This was our family vacation and we couldn’t ask for a more perfect location and home-away-from-home. On the rainy days we enjoyed cozy places to read, watch a movie, and work on a puzzle. On sunny days we enjoyed lunching outdoors, games, and just relaxing—all on the spacious deck with awesome views. We loved this place and hope to be back!

The Mystic Moose was just a great lodging option for our group. Very clean everywhere, nice bedding, AMAZING master bathroom and double shower head!!
