Hotel a Goanikontes

"The hotel feels dated and, in my opinion, somewhat overrated. Unfortunately, I don’t feel comfortable recommending it. We asked to have dinner at 8:30 pm, considering that the restaurant closes at 9:30 pm, but we’re rushed because the kitchen closeed before 9.30 p.m.. The same happened at the bar: although it was open until 10:00 pm, about 15 minutes earlier we’re made to feel that we’re no longer welcome. The pasta I ordered was overcooked and not up to standard. We also experienced organizational issues: the parking space assigned to us was occupied by another car, and upon arrival, our room was not yet ready. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast is plentiful, but this wasn’t enough to make up for the overall experience. The property didn’t seem particularly suitable for families, and both the atmosphere and the type of clientele didn’t match our expectation. The service and management clearly need improvement. Overall, the experience didn’t meet our expectations."

"Nice hotel and well placed in the centre of Swakop. However the room are quite old and need renovation which I understand is currently ongoing at least on part of the premises. Quite disappointing the fact to pay separately for having a cappuccino during breakfast (not included in the B&P fare)"
