“Stellar property at that price point. Only things lacking were pots and pans to cook (we donated a set upon leaving), and furniture. A couch or two would be appropriate. Very nice kitchen, shame it was limited in use.”

“Excellent place to stay to explore the eastern portion of the Shawnee National Forest. We used it as a launching point to see the Garden of the Gods, Cave in Rock, and Dixon Springs State Park. Wish we had another day to do more exploring. The cabin is secluded, so stock up on groceries and charcoal for the grill before you arrive. “We specifically were looking for a place with a kitchen so we could cook. This has a kitchen, but it was almost non-functional. No knives, no hot mitts, no cutting board, nothing to bake with. We improvised,but then the oven got stuck on 500 degrees/broil and wouldn't turn off. No one was on site that evening, and it took about 2 hours until our messages and phone calls were noticed.
