We stayed for 8 nights and reported significant cleanliness concerns immediately upon check-in, including dirty floors, dust on surfaces, dirty tracks, bird droppings on the balcony, and kitchen utensils and cookware that were not hygienic to use. We were travelling with two young children, so cleanliness was important to us.The chopping board was slimy and heavily discoloured, and several utensils and cookware items had visible mould. These concerns were raised on arrival but the items were never replaced during our stay, meaning we could not properly use the self-contained kitchen facilities.While the host was polite and apologetic, the issues were not resolved promptly. It took until day 6 for a cleaner to attend despite multiple follow-ups and failed arrangements and the issues still weren’t resolved. We were only provided with one key and were repeatedly asked to remain available for large attendance windows for cleaners, with no alternative access arrangements offered.We also experienced our key being expired which resulted in us being locked out of the apartment. Attempts to contact the host were unsuccessful and we ultimately had to seek assistance from reception and the managing agency ourselves to regain access.There were also discrepancies with the listing, including air conditioning only being available in the living area rather than the bedroom, no coffee machine despite one being advertised, and limited access to advertised resort facilities.
