“I stayed at RACV Goldfields resort for 1 night as I was in Ballarat for the marathon. I couldnt believe the size of the room when I opened the door, it was huge, it even had a spa bath! “This was such a great little room for such a cheap motel. I think it's been recently renovated because it looked immaculate. Even though you could park right outside your room, the room inside felt like it was in a highrise hotel. And although small, it had great amenities, including a small fridge, cutlery, kettle, a table, tv etc. The bathroom was modern and shower was wonderful. “We absolutely loved the old grandeur of this building - with surviving furniture and decor. Everything was old and glorious - i dont mind rough around the edges as this in itself tells a story of survival against the odds! These old buildings are very expensive to upkeep so the exterior needs attention, as does window frames. I can only wish that the property owner is budgeting for ongoing upgrades.
